Back in the late 70s everything that wasn't brickweed was called Hawaiian if it lacked seeds.
I remember the Hawaiian. Some was real. Some wasn't. Back then people would just carry it on commercial airplanes. Hawaii to the west coast was domestic travel and didn't require going through customs.

Lots of Thai Stick as well. I think one of the biggest busts of Thai Sticks was on the Oregon side of the Columbia river and came in on a freighter. Lots of hash around back then as well. I couldn't find anything for the Thai sticks but did find this. There was lots of stuff being unloaded along the Columbia river in the 70's and 80's. Some of it ended up in my pipe or bong.

The West Coast in general has always been spoiled when it comes to weed going way back into the 60's.
So true. I grew up in LA and graduated HS in ‘93. We had access to various grades of weed all through high school in the early ‘90s from brick schwag to killer green kind bud. There was a huge price difference though, we usually bought mid-grade Mexican stuff that had seeds but was still nice looking and smokeable. The good stuff was available though, it was just that $60-80 an eighth was a lot of coin for high school kids.
Moved to the Michigan for college and could still find kind bud but it was a lot harder to come by than it was in SoCal back then.
My buddy went to UCSB, that place was swimming in good weed from SoCal, NorCal and the PNW in the mid 90’s. It was still pricey though.

The good stuff was only $40-45 an eighth here in Portland. If you knew what you were doing you'd buy an ounce at a time and sell enough to pay for your own. That Humboldt County Indica was some good stuff. Although I think much of it was Southern Oregon weed. Lots of old time growers hung out in that area. They still do.

I put a dead spider in a bong hit I gave to another kid back around 1979. He gagged and the room smelled like crap. The smoke he exhaled had a yellowish color to it as well. Good times.
My buddy used to bake and make donuts. All the while smoking cigs.
Anyway your comment on the spider reminded me of little Timmies antics while baking donuts. Specifically how he'd toss the odd dead fly into the mixer. He said " don't worry, they bake up just like raisins ". Which was true. Unless you looked really close.
Eatin flies or smokin spiders, either way, your rocking some good fun there.

He would also spit into the Boston Creams as he said it made them "creamier". Who was I to argue his experiments.

Ok...back on track or whatever.
Question is:..................DOES THE DREADED BRICK WEED STILL EXIST??
Is it possible that the stuff is still being bricked up somewhere for sale still. Seriously.....really!!!
Anyone seen any in lately?
I'd almost like to have a brick of it in that the red waxy type paper just to sit on the mantle and pontificate to the children about my priapism.

I use to get pounds for like $300. A couple times it wasn't brick though and everybody thought it was just chronic with seeds. I paid $400 for that stuff, and sold it for a little more than the cheaper shit. But most people were like "Holy shit, you could sell this for chronic prices".

I like to hook people up though. And I was already gonna make enough for my season pass.

I'd find OZ's of the shit way later that I'd forgotten about.

I said it way back several times. It's the death of a culture. That's why I'm so disgusted with the government making money off what they once and still are willing to do....jail you. We survived their bullshit and now they have the nerve to profit from it.
Ask Aqua Terra how many long time folks have bit the dust. This was my culture so it pisses me off them making money now. I'll never stand down on that.

It only took about 4 months after the Nov or so 2020 second lock down in BC for 60-70% of my old school customers that I've known for 20 years and who grew for 25-30, to close down for ever. The price here had gone down to 400-600/lb a few times over the last 10 years but the product still moved, once the borders were shut down for good it was a blood bath. Up to Oct 2020 I thought it looked like hydro stores were not going to be hit much till the full border closures happened.

I'm curious how many of the old school growers have been able to get something together to transition into the legalized system. Have any of the people you guy's know pooled together their resources and been able to make something out of it? Even though I don't personally have an issue with legal weed, I understand "old school culture" to a point. Even if I wasn't part of the culture aside from buying Hash or Weed for personal use. This coming from a musician's perspective who did play the occasional hard rock and Biker bar around town back when.

Anyone who was smart enough to make money from legalization made it from stocks then dumped them at the right price or started a LP, set it up to get far enough into the process to be bought out by the big LP's, the rinse and repeat. Some people made millions like this, setup, get bought out, set up, get bought out... lol

I personally don't know anyone that deals with my store that has been able to set up any legal cannabis based business. It easier and cheaper to buy up a night clubs and get a liquor license. You wannt to set up a micro LP well fork over $700-1mil even before you are licensed. Want to set up a dispensary fork over $200K+ to get one going at least in bc

None that I know of. Everyone but groper boys friends anyway.
Buying legal weed is the equivalent to me of licking hitler's boots with gratitude for his favors.
No chance of me EVER supporting trudolf and his gang of hypocrit cunts. No offense to reals cunts as I like those actually.
