How did you get 3x3.5 x 2 is 6x7 ft? With two you either get a 3x7.5 or 6.5x3.5 depending on how you place the rectangular shaped hoods...

Heat is always in a grow, it just has to be managed properly. I've run a 600 in a 18"x30" tent with no heat problems and no Ac, just really good ventilation and a decent ambient temp.

I yield anywhere from 1.5-1.7gpw with my 600s, but my systems are pretty dialed. If you have crazy reflective surfaces you may be able to stretch a 600 to a 3x4 area. My 3x5 runs great with a 600 in it, but I run a 2x4 tray so I'm not expecting my canopy to actually max out the 3x5 space. You should be pulling at least a pound per 600, that's not really very good when you have your system dialed. 1.5 is average for a decent grower and a 600 watt light. For reference a pound with a 600 is around .75 gpw.

I got 6x7ft because I thought you said a single 600w will cover 3ftX3.5ft, as I have two 600w lights I doubled your 3ftX3.5ft equation if one 600w covers 3ftX3.5ft the two 600w should cover double that right?or wrong? I have 'adjust-a-wing' reflectors and one of them is hanged lengthways and the other is horizontal making a 'T' sort of shape in my space, I've also had trouble but it's really easy to regulate with multiple inline fans, wow 1.5/1.7grams per watt of electricity? That's well good. The reflective surfaces are the most reflective material available apparently., true but I'm relitively new to growing and also I'm experimenting, haven't had a proper dailed-in setup yet, but my next one will be an organised operation.

You didn't double it, you quadrupled it. Double would have been 3'x7' or 3.5'x6'. It didn't need to be the odd number of 3'x3.5' anyway, unless someone makes a tent of those dimensions. Most tents are square, like 3x3 or 4x4 or 6x6.

The odd numbers come from the actual footprint of a 600 in most hoods due to the rectangular shape.

You can actually light a 4x4 with 600w if you wanted to.
You could put a 600 over a 4x4. In a tent you might be ok, but open room, the entire 6"-ft of the outside would be larfy and really would have been energy better spent to the buds in the actual footprint of the light.
