this weird thing happend

ok so i had a small amount of bud in a bag and the bag was in a dark area for about 2 days.well when i went to get the bud back out it was alot darker and smelled alot stronger.im not really sure what happend.

and if i keep my bud in jars from now on will it do anything positive to my weed or just preserve it?

The weed in the bag may have cured/dried.

Keeping your herb in an airtight jar in a dark place will definitely preserve it better than most other options. It won't have a positive effect on its own-- it just prevents negative effects from taking place.

i thought maybey it was just when i bougght it,it wasnt fully dried thats the only explination i came up with

could have been. Curing does change the smell.

If it was in a baggy it may have retained moisture. make sure that dark color isn't mold.

Smell permeates through anything. It usually takes about a few hours for the smell to permeate out of the bag. Even in a coffee can the smell will permeate. Depending on what material you store it in the time will vary. Keeping it in an air tight lid will preserve your stash and will take very long to seep through.
