Those Cheapo Fan and Filters on eBay

On eBay search "4" INLINE FAN CARBON FILTER" and you see these for less than $120:



which is about 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of the stuff at the local hydroponic store. Anyone have any experience with these? Do they get the job done? Or are they substandard and a waste of money?

the fans are cool matey but the carbon filters a what hydro shops call budget filter they do the job till u get to a few weeks away from harvest and then u can smell the weed comin thru to be honest 5" is better always better imo dont scrimp on the fan and filter coz u pay for it later normally with ur neighbours knocking on or police that shape of fans are the ones u want the plasticc tt fans arent as reliable and u dnt want a fan breaking on u half way thru u grow no way imo buy a cheap 5inch fan like the one in ur pic and then buy a rhino pro filter for £60-£70 my last rhino lasted 2.5 grows without letting a weed smell thru they advertise it to last over 2 years as others range from 9months to 12 months the budget ones are the 9 month lasting ones but to be honest there is only so much dank smellin bud a carbon filter can deal with thats why i say get 5" filter bigger n better depends on size of grow space 5" perfect for 1.2 x 1.2meter square tent honest dont scrimp on the most important part of ur setup SECURITY u will regret it
