Thoughts on Plant Growth Regulators (PGR)

they are used to stunt verticle growth so the plants dont grow as big but Paclobutrazol causes the plant cells to divide, rather than elongate. As a result, the cells are packed closer together, with the flowers accommodating less space between calyx’s/pistols making the buds rlly dense but with very little trichomes and terpenes

I kinda remember one called Bushmaster. This was like almost 10 yrs ago.

It seems like you loose some yeild for a sturdier denser plant - helpfull in early frost and fruitset.

Have to look more to check if its left in the final product or concentrate - lots to consider

insect frass/chitin from insects is a natural pgr i heard there are quite a few products out there based on that supposedly triggers there immune systems response mildly too maybe worth a look as for real pgrs no no and fuck no why would you wanna ruin your buds id never use em

there is a significant difference between naturally occurring phytohormones (triacontanol, bassinolide, gibberelic acid, iba, etc) and artificial pgrs (palcobutrazol). most of the bottled nutes that contain phytohormones dont say so on the label, or instead list their source (ie mammoth p label lists alfalfa extract)

I was just pointing out to the OP that not all PGR's are bad. Some are all natural and if used properly and at the right time can improve your harvest with no harmful effects. Alfalfa for eg is used by allot of soil guys.

I 100% agree that the toxic illegal PGR's are a problem. Buds just look awful when its used to.. The bikies and the Vietnamese grows here in OZ use a heap of it.

Im not sure, its used in allot of things. Can also buy it in bulk, some use it as a Folia spray i think.

Ok but im an outdoor farmer with a big plot who looses 40% of my harvest to early frost now.

If i follow industry rules regs and produce a tested safe final product with this pgr netting me a 15% yeild increase why wouldnt i?

The only PGR I would use or recommend is Triacontanol. It's a growth accelerator, occurs naturally in alfalfa in high quantities which is why alfalfa grows so fast.

Even at that, if you already have a well performing system I am not sure it would add anything.

On a side note Anyone ever tried using auxins in there cycle seen a place the other day claiming to sell organically sourced auxins in concentrated liquid form supposed to speed it up give you more yield etc anyone here tried it or something similiar?

I got 3 Traincontrol? ..bud ignitor and GA3

i'd recommend SuperThrive, it has synthetic auxins, it can explode plant growth in veg but be careful how you use it
