Hi!

Here are my three Spanish ladies. Today defoliated them. Second day 12/12. Grown from seed, veged 1 month.
Dinafem - Moby Dick
Seedsman - White Widow
Seedsman - Lemonchello Haze
Grown in coco /food : Canna Coco A+B + Cal/mag / under 400W HPS

How did I do ? Should take some more off or fine?

Yes, they grow nice in airpots indeed. 2 x 20 Liter and 1 x 10 Liter pot. Around 75% coco + 20% perlite + 5% vermiculite

Everyone will let you different but from my experience I would take all the big leaves off.

it will give you much better circulation, light, and bud site formation.

yea maybe, I haven`t removed even this much last grows as I did today. Kind of afraid messing with their own natural stuff :) But I`ve seen lots of positive feedback in years, so thought give it a go.
So by bigger leaves you mean even the biggest on top ? Only leave fresh developing ones ?

I defoliate in the 1st week

This is how it looks in the 2ns wk of flip
2nd wk 12-12 (4).jpg

I would leave just 2 main fan leaves on top

This is how they look at the 1st wk of flip

1st wk 12-12 (1).jpg

Don,t waste your time with stripping leaves from your plants.Don't believe everything you see on the internet.Plants have leaves for a reason.

If your in soil than yes I wouldn't stripe all the leafs as there resivoirs for nutrients. In hydro and being fed often then I take them off but not all

I agree...not to believe anything you read in the internet nor what people say here in forums like this.

Best teacher is to do your own research and...... your own personal experience.

As to my experience instead of just repeating what I've heard or what I've read .... the above picture of that defoliated plant is like this....

at 7th week of flip in 1 gallon pot

7th wk 12-12 (10).jpg

I say close to 2 oz dry there at harvest time. 12 of these in a 3x2
No pain, no gain they say

I normally defo a week to 10 days prior to flipping to 12/12, then at day 21 of flower and at day 42. Other than that I only remove fans blocking bud sites.
Here was a single plant Monster Crop I did last year.
One week prior to flip.

Bro i downloaded your first pic. I'm using it as my new example on how to use net. It looks great man I hope to somewhat replicate soon! I'm considering just topping each when they hit the net instead of tying but who knows they still have some growing to do.

well you need leaf we are solar light famers, but if some leaves are shaded defoliate accordingly, i like to remove all fan leaves with a leaf stem , prior to flowering, but every situation is different. i also like to bend down stems to fill in gaps after defoliation to utilize all light space, build a solar panel of light trapping leaf , one layer. defoliation is key to big yields. any fan leaves with a leaf stem should be removed, this encourages stem leaves to develop and those leaves directly feed the buds.
