THRIPS PROBLEM -- Help please!!

Hey guys,

I'm over at my homies house right now and he has a thrip problem.

BUT that's not the reason for this post. MY FEAR is that Im going to bring these fuckers home to my garden. How long do I have to wait before going home??? Once I get home Im going to strip down in my garage and run right to the shower. Is there anything I can do BEFORE going home to help ensure I dont bring these thirps with me?

Also, is spinosad okay or does anyone have any better recommendations?

Spinosad or items with spinosad will be your best bet to get rid of them.
I would change my clothes before stepping next to the garden.

i just had this problem, i used azamax or azatrol, the active ingredient is azadirachtin. i couldnt find any spinosad and the Azamax worked great and it is OMRI listed.

I saw azamax at the store the last time I was there! I just learned about azadirachtin in class last semester. Def want to get it, wasnt sure if it was the best thing for thrips or not.

yea thats not going to work.... they put there eggs into the leaves of the plants.... so you have to spray to kill the ones flying around and crawling around then in a couple of days spray again to get the eggs that hatch

Uh did you read his post? He is not asking how to kill thrips. He is asking what he should do before going in HIS room.

Lol yeah I think I actually specifically stated that I didn't need to know how to kill them, one because its not my garden and two because I already know how.

Wouldnt RIU be such a better place if people read before posting? There would be such a lesser amount of useless garbage clouding up all of the wonderful useful information this site has to offer...

But then again, were all stoners. May just be too much to ask :/ ?

as for thripes. you balls deep in them? me thinks if you got a decent setup that you maintain, and keep clean, you should be fineeeeeeeeeeee.

just change clothes, shower, no biggie..

and if you get them, WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yea the garbage of people asking dumb questions like this one..... did you bother to even look else where for the answer or just post up on here and expect the RIU community to hold your hand?
the title imples that you seem scared and needed help with a thrip problem.......
clearly a quality question definitely not clutter on RIU, i am confident thrips and how to deal with them and how not to SPREAD them has been covered on this site more times then i care to count.....

lol not even worth responding too...im not someone to not search something before asking. Made this to see if there was something I missed when I was searching and I did need an answer in a timely matter. good try though.

As for you you clearly responded based on the title, but what ever...pretty obvious why youre being so defensive..

To the people who took the time to read my question and give an appropriate answer, I really do appreciate it. Nice to know everyone doesnt have to flew their E-pene's on here!
