check out youtube or your local head shop. it's basically a pipe or bong but it doesnt have a bowl on the end. there is this nail you put in instead. however they leave air gaps under the nail for smoke to flow thru. the dome goes on top to keep the smoke from escaping.
i have seen different ways of doing it. one is you put your dry or powder hash right on the nail with the dome over. heat a glass rod until it's glowing red with a blow torch. touch the hash and it will vaporize. they also make these soldering iron type things that you just plug into the wall. safer than a blow torch. i use this method for any kind of kief or dry powder hash.
the other more common way of doing it and the way i do it with hash oil, alcohol tincture, bho wax, anything liquid or sticky enough etc. i put it right on a glass rod and set it aside. then you take your pipe and the nail in it and put the torch to the nail until it is red hot. put them dome on the pipe. touch the glass rod with the hash on the nail and it will vaporize.
im told titanium is better than glass because the glass breaks easier and chips after so many uses. i've actually just started getting into this myself. that bho wax is powerful. i'm a heavy smoker but that bho wax, if made properly with good smoke/trimming, will hit you hard just 1 hit. usually i take too big of a hit and fuck my lungs up so i cant smoke for hours after.
