Is it time? The girls are 5 weeks in veg today (6 weeks from germination). The tent is 4x4x8, 2 HLG 350W Diablos at 32" on 50%, 7 gallon in FFOF. I topped once at 6th node. Both are hybrid strains.

Should I put the nets up now?

I say flip away. I rarely go more than 6 weeks from germ. This way you might sneak in a whole extra grow by years end. On the otherhand for max yield in that tent you might want to wait a bit. I personally prefer smaller plants with a faster turn around.

Flower soon would be ok. Trellis netting a pain in the ass imho. Especially on plants you're never grown before. Personally, I think netting a big waste of time.
This is my first tent grow, but i have decades of outdoor grows. I started using trellis outdoor 4 years ago, but just to keep heavy buds pointing up, and the net was set 4' and 6' above the ground. I can see trellis being a PITA in that tent for sure!

Plants look great! Assuming the plants continue to stay healthy, it's gonna get way over-crowded in there.
Most all the square footage is already taken and the plants will triple in size.
I've gone the other way and have been experimenting with shorter and shorter veg times.
So long as the space gets filled, there's little advantage to a longer veg; once the space is filled, it's filled.

Let me preface this but my comment is ALL based on theory I have not started my first grow yet, but I have researched it to death. Personally, I would train them longer, Aim for a wider Flatter canopy, before flipping, but like I said that is all based on Theory. Just my .02 cents

That sounds good in theory, but it doesn't work that way in practice.

Good to know! As I said, Everything I know is theory at this point lol, but I am glad to know that those are ready to flip so when i do grow my first non-autos, I have an Idea what to look for.
Most everyone, myself included, has fallen prey the the "more the merrier" mentality. Consider for a moment, if you trained some plants to utilize 100% of a trellis before flipping. From that point, all the subsequent growth will be a vertical free-for-all. If you flipped and still had room in the trellis, you could continue to use the horizontal space and achieve a flatter canopy.
Same applies to plant count.

Hey everybody, thanks for the votes, and the knowledge. Tomorrow is three weeks from transplant to the final pots. I'm going to give them their first feeding, then flip day after tomorrow. I'll probably do a little mild pruning as well. Not much airflow through those dense leaves.

Tent growing is FUN! Fuck those catapillars, deer, and whiteflies.

Ok. 3 weeks from you guy's recommended flip. The 2 GSC Extreme have preflowers. The 70% sativa doninant Tropicana Cookies just keep veging. I had to weave them today because they are 6" taller than the Indica dominant GSCE.

Thinking of turning on the UV-A bar tomorrow. Can't make up my mind. So much conflicting info on the UV bars.
