sorry dont have any pics because its in a dark period right now but i have 8 plants in a jiffy seed starting greenhouse kit (not the peatpots but just normal seedstarting mix). the plants are about a week old and the roots are coming out of the drainage hole at the bottom. i know i need to transplant but do i transplant directly into my Fox Farms Ocean Forest or keep it in the seed starting mix for another couple weeks before re-transplanting? any help would be appreciated.

jiffy seed starting kit. they arent sharing the same soil so roots wont come into contact with eachother, but yes it is all one piece.

transplant them right now(into individual pots).
you have left it a bit long but if you are carefull all should go well.
as soon as the seed sprouts from the jiffys you should transplant them in to individual pots.
good luck.

You should be fine going into your regular soil..just handle your roots gently. If you have enough seed starter mix around, you may try hollowing out a 4x4" hole in the center of your pots full of FF, filling the hole with starter mix, and putting your seedlings in there. Makes for a gentle transition from the nute-poor starter mix to the richer FF. Check out Subcool's thread under Organics on "super soil" where he discusses creating "transitional soil layers" like what I've just suggested.
