Timing dilemma

My intention was always for this to be a loft project, but sadly, I just don't have the height clearance... and that's with a 1.6m tall tent. I only intend to live in my house for another year before moving, and either a decent attic or space for a 'shed' are my top priorities. Really want to grow veggies and herbs too (Valerian, to my mind, would be amazing for DWC as it would be so easy to process the root into tincture) - so will be looking for somewhere more rural next time.

I switched to 12/12 on Monday and already the picture has changed significantly... I reckon I'll get an ounce out of it, which is better than nothing. If it's not quite ripe before the in-laws arrive, I'll tell them it's CBD! What a crazy world we inhabit... same plant, same aesthetic, but if you say you're cultivating for CBD it's acceptable, but if cultivating for THC it's some sort of horror. The good thing is, they're so naïve about cannabis that they'll have no idea whether or not I'm telling the truth (and they're not likely to ask if they can try some)!

I flipped to 12/12 4 days ago and it has already increased in height/width by around 50%. I know it's not going to win any prizes in the yield department, but if I can get an ounce of dry weight off it, I'll be happy. I'm not a huge smoker - growing purely for medicinal purposes, and an ounce will see me through to when I can start another grow. It won't see me THROUGH another grow, but I've learnt so much from this current experience that I shouldn't have this problem again,
