I know this is a matter of opinion but here goes.
I have learned it's better to keep a mother, over repeatedly cloning a clone.
Repeated reveg and flowering of a plant, can lead to herming. -it's a lot of stress.

Do less plant count and perfect it.
It takes a few goes and never ends,
So getting the right the first or every attempt is a battle,
for me at least.

Noted thanks for the tip

Make friends with a deli, food service or food processing worker. Most use. Free food grade buckets for life in multiple sizes. Be wary of pickle buckets. Found no cure for that pickling of bucket. LOL.
The buckets were only 2 bucks the net pot lids are what kills you if you can only get them in singles. If you can get the bundle they're alot cheaper.

I just melted a ton of holes in small nursery pots. Threw a piece of cotton gauze in and grew. About 0.10 cents for 3" hydro pots in bulk. Constantly consider your costs and ways to lessen them with loss of efficiency.

Thats a good idea. Kinda thought about something similar but figured one time buy might as well spend money on a sturdy netpot

What if I already did??? Lol
Best of luck to you my friend. Some people can get away with it some can't. I spent a fortune did 3 grows and ditched the full system. I now do modular flood and drain. I just couldn't do it! Roots blocking the pipes (2 inch) then the dreaded root rot, PH all over the place and loads of work at change outs. I do hope it works out for you mate.

Just a little bit of advice regarding your system. Might just be the photo but the plants look a long way apart and keep an eye out for roots blocking the pipes they don't look all that wide. Decide now if you are going to go sterile or live res (don't ask me for advice on this one I am a RDWC failure there are many on here who do it well).

Well my pipes i thought about the clogging but instead of water pumping through the top pipes and falling into the bucket I actually have the water pumped through the bottom from res and the return is the top pipe. Let me know if you think that might help in the clogging issue

Youll need support to hold up the top pipe with the weight of water in them.Your also stuck to that water level.Do you have deep net pots?.With water being pushed out the top one roots will just follow in.I would drain from the bottom one.Light and heat will penetrate those plastic pipes so they need to be covered.
Im not sure where you got your design from but its not ideal.

Yes mate I did, it was a cut down bodge job from my old RDWC setup. Loving the Flood & Drain wish I had done it years ago ans saved myself a load of money, heartache and time.
