Tips of leaves turning yellow (pics)

Hello there.
This is my first grow in a hydroponic system and although the plants are growing hella fast, they are doing some strange stuff. The tips of the newly grown leaves starting to turn yellow.

The nutrients are General Hydroponics Flora Series, I mixed 60ml of nutrient from each bottle into 12 gallons of 5.8ph water.
My lighting isn't all that great but it should be enough for now. I just took two T8 floro shop lights and tied them together at an angle, kinda like that ---> /\ The total wattage of my lights is 128 watts (four 32watt T8 floros, two 3000K and two 6500K) That should put out around 11,000 lumens and I keep my lights right on top of the plants.

Anyone have any clue to what is going on?
Oh and ignore the super messed up leaves towards the bottom of the plant, that was some serious nute deficiency from the previous nutes I was using (Miracle Gro lol)

yeah i run gh in hydro and you are just running the nutes a little strong bud. they look fine.. that's just a little nute burn. for vegging i start them at 5ml per gallon of each and when they get started good like it looks like yours are.. i switch them to 11ml green 6ml black and 3 ml pink (per gallon). need any help just let me know... also how many plants are in there? you should just use smaller individual buckets to give the plants space to grow and breath and for airflow.

I agree with hunter1220 here... Except I don't think you need the green at all. 6 micro, 9 bloom is the lucas formula (I believe) and that's what most people with your nutrients are going to be running.

Also, you want to be pH balancing AFTER you add your nutrients.

You stated:
I mixed 60ml of nutrient from each bottle into 12 gallons of 5.8ph water.
That sounds like you are saying that you pH balanced the water to 5.8 and added 5ml/gallon from each bottle. This would be backwards.

You want to add the nutrients. Test the pH. Then balance it. Allow the solution to rest at least 1 hour. Test it and then balance it again if necessary. That should resolve any pH issues.

As far as what I see on the plant... based on your levels I think you have, to be specific, a bit too much N and K in your solution.

Hey thanks for the reply.
Thats what my nute mixture is. 5ml per gallon in 12 gallons is 60ml in my rez. I used 60ml from all three bottles, you think it's still a bit much?
I have 5 plants in there plus a little tiny one that came up unexpectedly. It's probably gonna die soon since it came up so late and the nute mixture is too concentrate for a plant so small.
I made my DWC system in a hurry with whatever I could pick up at Walmart lol. I ordered some net cups from ebay and when they get here I will make a better system. I've been thinking about using buckets but I would either need a pump for each bucket or a super-hardcore pump with multiple air nozzles ($$$)

Oh and I'm sorry about the confusion. I got my ph to 5.8 after filling the rez and also after adding the nutes. Why did I do it before adding the nutes? Probably just a little buzzed...
I also check the ph every day to make sure it's where it should be.

snow crash are you talking about vegging or blooming? that sounds more of my bloom mixture. they have different needs in the growing and the flowering stage.. go check out the chart they have on the GH website.. makes it super easy and is a base mixture for experimenting with your own recipe. different strains of plants respond different to amount of nutrients.. what strain are yours?

and you can get an aqairium pump for the buckets that has an 8 piece adapter (maybe more that's just what i have and it only runs about 50$.. check ebay for random little stuff like that they usuallly have good deals. and once you get the stuff like that you can use it harvest after harvest and eventually you will have the equipment to really do your thing.

I have no idea what strains they are. Its just whatever I picked out of my dime bag lol. Also, doubt they are the same strain. The plants all look different. This is my first grow so its more of a test run.

It is the lucas/head/rez formula, very well known, very well researched. I know of almost no growers who use the Green bottle. There is plenty of nitrogen in the micro. You can reverse the numbers, 9/6, if you'd like but you don't really need to.

Every strain is different, and you can supplement these systems with Cal-Mag or bloom enhancers like Bloombastic, but the 6/9 is the basic formula. No need for the bottle of Grow.

You should research grow journals that utilize these nutrients rather than the website calculator. The Calc is nice to base the system off of but it is better to see what works best in the garden. Ask around. Lots of people using this stuff.

i'm going to do a sour with that formula now that you say this.. i'm curious to see how it does against my formula. thanks for the info..

Rezdawg does a Sour Diesel and this formula is shared credit with him. Do some research into H3ad/Rez/Lucas Formula (ICmag.com) and you should find a few people (including the breeder) who have used this formula as their base. There could have been some variations for the particular strain, which is why I suggested the research into what the others have done in exactly you same situation.
