Titan flow and grow over fill problem

Well I guess I am going to be getting a couple more of those little alarms that go off when there is a water leak. Other than that I dont know what I can do other than get my bucket looked at or replaced as it is fairly new (5months old).

Anybody got the time to explain those float shut off switches real quick. I looked at them and to figure out how the sensor in the stick reacts to that white float on it. Doesn't seem to be magnetic to me???? idk

So yesterday I plugged in a large air mover fan. So everything seemed fine I guess. But at some point I blew a fuse and my lights were off for 24 hours. Went and unplugged the fan flipped the switch. Lights came on and all of that. Tried to think of what happened and I guess when the fridge I have kicked in it blew the fuse because it was over loaded. As far as I can guess. The fridge doesn't work now. The light comes on but the compressor wont kick on. So I left the fridge unplugged for awhile. Plugged it in a little later and it still doesn't work.

So after the lights came on it was feeding time. I reset the dial on the bucket and it started to fill. Looks good go away. The control bucket doesnt turn off the fill I flood the room with about ten gallons till I caught it. Cleaned everything up go and look at why the bucket didnt stop. NO IDEA WHY OF COURSE. The inside is pretty clean. Now it doesnt drain but it will fill. I used the fill outlet and plugged in the drain cord till it all drained out of my buckets and then unplugged the whole thing.

Haven't had any problems till today. The fan will get moved to a different outlet and the fridge will stay unplugged till I get into that later on.

Thats it in a nutshell any ideas why the control bucket overfilled cant have that happening again. Luckily I was here and awake and caught it or I would of spilled a lot of water on the floor. I am going to measure what I need in my barrel and how much fills into the buckets to see what I need to get the job done and just keep it at that level all of the time if I can, so if it does happen again it wont spill to much. Wishful thinking of course.

I really cant have this thing flood out on me again. I am thinking of putting each blue bucket in a tub and run the line through holes I will drill and seal them up with silicone. So if it does over fill it will all be caught in the tubs. And with that thought I only have to do a few in their own tubs and make sure if it does over fill then it will all be caught in the those that have tubs. So by the time it pumps all of the water out because of a failure I wont have to be cleaning up a bunch of water and have the pump just run pumping air.

Good idea with the tub thing bad idea? Any idea's?

The guy at the hydro store said that it was fried. I asked if my blown fuse did it and he said it shouldnt have as there is a whatever he said that should of not let that happened. He said that it shouldnt of over filled to begin with and that, that was unusual.

Idk I got a replacement.

I cant ever let this room flood out like it did again. It was a mess but could of been way worse if I hadnt noticed it. I am going to put my buckets in troughs and run the hoses through one end and seal it with silicone. And will put the control bucket in a tub and do the same thing with the lines. I just need to find some 1'x6'x5'' trough's.

Got any pictures? I'm not familiar with your rig, but if the problem is the float switch you might want to check for holes in the float. If there's any water in the float you got a problem.

I think you got the right idea with the over flow tub

I wish I had thought of it last week though. The control bucket will probably just get a catch pan because it has electronics on it. I will have to make sure if it does over fill that it will start in the troughs. I was just thinking I should use a laser level and drill relief holes in the first buckets of each row because I actually only had one bucket over fill last night the rest were just really really close.
