To chop, or not to chop?

I have two plants in the 6th week of flower. They are my only survivors from my very first grow, my pioneers. They have undergone a fair amount of stress, that is to say I failed learning to clone on them, a big power outage, learning all about lights and disaster...the first grow has been a big learning experience (and money hole!) for me, but has been very personally rewarding.

So, the problem...
One of my girls went into shock and failed to fully enter flower. In fact, just this morning (6 weeks in to flower) have I noticed that she is actually beginning to flower. This all resulted from a botched cloning and poor planning on my part, not to mention learning the woes of miracle grow, and nutrient burns and deficiency of all kinds. That said, she has gone hermie! In the room is my other girl, who went into flower like a pro, and is showing beautiful delicious bud everywhere on her sex stems. I am concerned that if I don't chop my hermie then it will pollenate my strong girl, but if I do chop I'll lose 50% of my buddable plant. The other side of the coin is that my strong girl will be harvested soon so my hermie would have the entire flowering room all to herself, with nothing to pollenate.

So, to chop, or not to chop?
Some other related questions I have. How long does it take male pods to bust open with pollen?
Should I expect drastically less bud from my stressed girl? She's 6 weeks in to flower and just BEGINNING to show signs of bud, will she still get to 75% red hairs in a few weeks and just yield very little bud?

Helpzor!
