To mylar or not to mylar, that is the question...

hey i just finished painting, i was wondering if i have to mylar this room, or is it fine as is, im thinking i got too cause its most likey not as reflective as myar, right? just want some opinions, thanks

Perfectly fine the way it is. Mylar is only marginally more reflective than good ol' flat white paint.

Mylar isn't very washable either. If you want to line your room with something... you could try panda plastic. White on the inside for reflection and black on the o/s to block out light.

Aluminium foil reflects 70-75% of light, white paint 80-85%, mylar 90-95%.

I personally think if you don't wanna be the top dealer of your state, white paint is just fine.

thanks guys, ima go over it with 1 more coat n be done with it then add the fan. might be awhile for the fan, but ill post some pictures when its up, happy holidays and happy new year, hope you guys have a good one
