To rehydrate or not to rehydrate, that is the question

This is for med. mar. patients, not myself.

Herb has been curing for 4 days, regularly checking them for mold. Now, it appears mold isn't the problem. Left 24 hrs- no moisture, buds look dry. Not sure if they're below 55%RH- hygrometer's I have aren't calibrated.

1) If I rehydrate and they're over 55%RH, that'll kick start the cure process again, yes?
2) If under 55%, will rehydrating ruin the smell and potency or help it??????????????????

1: In theory yes, but it's very difficult to keep your weed in a constant state of curing by rehydrating.
It's a lot easier to just do a proper cure from start to finish.
Rehydrating never works as well as a natural cure, but it can save a cure in rare cases.

2: If your buds are below 55% RH curing is already done and it cannot be redone.
You won't get anything out of rehydrating.
You should store your weed properly though as that can improve your weed even more over time.
