To smoke or not to smoke...

In my experience, withdrawal symptoms are wake-n-bake instigated. If you were only an evening smoker you are already used to functioning throughout your day without getting high. You don't really know detox until you've at least been wake'n'baking every morning for months on end. Dependency is the culprit, not tolerance.

Dependency forms due to associating smoking with various daily tasks. If you can get three meals in before you smoke, it's not even the same ballpark. Many take a hit before brushing their teeth, every morning. Still more take a hit before crawling out of bed.

When dependency like that forms, withdrawal symptoms become intense due to the mental association. As we all know, weed is not physically addictive. However, it can be intensely difficult to let go of mentally if you have learned to associate the "more fun when you're high" aspect with every single remedial task you have to do to function as a human being.
