Too many egos?

How many of you think that there are too many inflated ego's on the site?

i've been on a few sites under different usernames and this is the best. not to many egos (big heads) i like the setup and layout of the site. but cannabis is a weed and is easy to grow really, my advice is don't get to technical with growing bud or it becomes tomuch and you hardly get any time to smoke it, just stick to the basics. i can get world class buds with just the basics ( good ventalation, a fan , good drainage, a HPS light ,ORGANIC nutes , dark at night ) = great bud TO SMOKE

Whatever happened to Robbutts that posted here often in March and April?

I know today I have had a huge ego and I appologise for that. I come here and try to help though and it seems like people need to attack other people's knowledge to get a point across, what happened to rollitup being a mass of knowledge that we build on? not tear apart.

Even though I am a newcomer to the site, I have only seen a couple of threads recently that have had some bitching back and fourth. Regardless, this site is a great resource mainly due to the community here. I have learned sooo much more on this site than I have read in the couple of grow books i own. I wish I could smoke you all out, thanks .

After growing outdoors for 14 years, I would be screwed if was not for this site and the people that was kind enough to help me transition to indoor growing. I have seen a few people that like to bash. It always seems to be over some small detail. This site is no different than the world we live in, there will always be some dick head that thinks he knows more than the next guy.
All in all, this site and the people that dwell with-in kick ass.

Here's the question IMO....I've seen more experienced growers shred to shit anything someone who's been growing for a shorter time says. Mainly when they offer advice...Which after reading again was pretty much good info.

I guess its the source that counts huh? IMO...again...If youve encountered a problem and overcame it....you are now qualified to put your 2 cents into any question posed on that subject.

if you want to correct someone you need to be classy about it. "your wrong so fuck you" that dont work. if you have no respect other than a few dots by your name you will never be shit. learn how to just not respond to the bullshit.

I don't grow anything so I stay out of the growing section for the most part; don't really know what goes on in there. As for this section....it's all good. If someone can't argue their point they shouldn't post

Agreed!! I don't mind reading a little of the bashing, expecialy when it's over nothing, or a mis-read post etc. Sometimes it's too easy for a guy that typically doesn't bash too get caught up in it sometimes. I just hate reading an awesome thread that is just gettin somewhere untill someone sidelines it and the original point is lost and gone forever. There is usually many way to get to the same place. some people don't like gravel roads, some do, some like dirt roads not even gravel. lol. One mans junk is often another mans joy! Sometimes they both give each other shit!!!

maybe we need a little icon that states if there is a bitch fest going on in the tread. That way all the ppl who want to bitch have a place to go and those who wish to pick up good info Don't need to waste there time reading endless pages of waste. Not that arguments are a bad thing sometimes they bring out ALL the possibilitys and the reader has to decide where they stand or whitch road they prefer to travel.

Ego's i can deal with its the lack of respect we have for each other is the problem. I too have a huge ego but not a trouble maker. Some people are here to start trouble for the hell of it. And 9 out of 10 it's always the one who havn't grown JACK. LoL. They always find something to say. I spent my first couple of month on this site asking questions. Wasing trying to earn points. Just wanted to learn all i could.

I hear ya, I don't think i've helped ne1 directly (as in providing a answer) on this site, if they found something I did usefull, good for them I probably was doing something wrong and now they are too lol. I didn't even there was such a thing as rep points till a week ago I have 49 I believe. Doesn't mean a thing to me.

The fighting is good, I'm usually involved in something at some time or another... I don't know, it creates excitement.

Why would anybody not involved in the argument be bothered by it?

Yeah sometime or another is good. I like healthy debates. It's just when you've got these assholes who need to make themselves seem right 100% of the time and will pull any BS and insult out of the air to do so.

Yeah, but this site is just a reflection on real life. These people are everywhere. There's nothing worse than a guy prepared to lie just to make his point seem more valid. I've got a couple of friends like it.

As do I, I've cought them several times trying to tie myths into their base claim. He even tried to justify killing off a seedling I gave him by saying "It was growing real fast, it was gonna be a male so I killed it" At this point I wanted to make him pay for the fucking thing since we were supposed to share the yield. BTW the seeling wasn't even 2 weeks old.
