Too many yellow leaves in flower?

I more picture. I removed this one cola today (a secondary one) that had some rot starting. It may help with how done it is because I hear people talk about the little calaxes swelling. Is that the little brown things at the base of the stem that look like triangles? It looks swollen I guess but this is my first time looking at that part of “ripeness”.
Nice looking buds man. Well done on waiting it out. Hopefully the rot stays away.

It seems this thing could go another week. And my forecast is clear…hasn’t rained in months…lol. But I am still getting bud rot. It’s almost like trading a nug or two a day for whatever overall benefit it’s getting. I’m sure that’s common knowledge but it’s not like the other decisions I make with my garden. I grow LOTS of veggies. I’m good at that. But they aren’t as finicky as these things. Sheesh…it’s like tending to a 3 year old…and I already raised 2. Anyway- best if lick. Please update your threads when you hit milestones. I’ll be learning more.

Also, I can’t even imagine managing 6 of these beasts - this one plant took more time (5-10X?) then my entire garden! So hats off. Maybe I’ll try 2 next year…increase my odds

I’m definitely cutting the grow back next year. It took a full day to harvest 1 plant. It’s a ton of time. Thank god I run my business from home. Lol

Ya, I have a very demanding day job that requires me to be involved remote from my home - even during COVID. I am looking forward to gardening in retirement now that’s it’s legal in my state.

It's taken me 3 days to harvest and wet-trim my one little plant this year

It'd go a lot quicker if I wasn't so picky
Wow. That’s crazy man. But I get it. I would have had to add another day if trim was involved. I trimmed fans in place well still in the dirt. Washed. And straight to slow dry. The dry trim going to be a full day for sure. 5 more plants. God dam. I need a friend nearby. Lol.

Dudes this is what happened to my 25 + top blueberry. Severe bud rot running rampant to various areas of the tree. Chopped off all the rot and peroxides the stems. She’s lookin at 60% of her former self. Only thing is no pillars or poop in the bud/sugar leave. High humidity with no winds means enough moisture sitting to rot from the inside out right? The second pic is from 1 weeks ago. The rot showed up Thursday and spread and two hrs later it did its damage. I’m so bummed. At least my other tree is not showing signs of bud rot. Sucks to be me.

I hear that. I took the outside chicken wire round down and got to some of the interior of mine yesterday. I just took it easy and really enjoyed seeing this girl all the way done. It took me all day.

I washed for the 1st time ever yesterday. Lol…as I’m dunking the first few branches I’m all wondering if I wake up this morning and find out that was a joke, and nobody be dunking weed in water..lol But they are fine, seems normal. Tons of nasty came out…lots of dirt and prolly wildfire ash/smoke.

You’re in a dry climate but yellow or black sugar leaves can mean mold, especially if they pull off easily. Yellow fan leaves are not a problem.
Solid advice. Honestly I thought I was pretty shielded but once I fed them the finishing nutes this began happening because the buds were getting bigger but remained dense. In years past the buds were much more “airy” so never happened. I think I have it pretty good here but def keeping this little trick next year.

Next season you may want to try using a product called Cease, from Biowrks.
I had botrytis show up this year, for the first time, in a long time. And the Cease (used with potassium bicarbonate) has put an end to it spreading.
It's not cheap,,, but neither is losing your crop to rot.
It is safe to spray during flowering, is organic and OMRI listed. The stuff can also be tank mixed with just about anything else you could need to spray.
Just a thought...
Good luck friends!

Took about 3/4 of the plant. Left the rest. Maybe it will ripen more.
So the last 1/4 of the plant is still chilling but the majority is drying now. I figured leave most of the fan leaves because I need the moisture and they kinda drape over the buds. My temp is okay 65-75F but humidity low 35-40%. I added a humidifier so running around 60-62 rh now in the room and 65-67 rh right at the plant. Not sure which is where I should measure but on day 4 and it’s just starting to feel dry on the outside but still a long way to go. Years past I hung in a shed 75-80F w/o any humidity adder and buds were not as dense…at day 4 they were too dry prolly. So I am pretty happy with what I see so far!

here is the first cut semi-dried. I am moving it to a bin today and see how much it rehydrates then hang back up if needed. This look like a half a pound?
When you say bin? You mean you’re jarring it up today? Put a hygrometer in a jar or two. Trim all your buds and weigh em up. Weight is usually based on dried, trimmed. I have the exact same snips as you. Lol.

But yeah I’d say pretty darn close to 8oz. My first plant looked similar as far as branch and bud, I got 9.65oz. So I’d say that sounds like a fair guesstimate. But you want to weigh it regardless.
