You can slightly offset a low pH by inputting a high pH. I’ve used pH 10 on my plants with only good results lol

The medium will buffer the pH and when the feed is say above pH 8 it’ll be able to have some
access to a wider pH range

That’s good advice. My tap water would actually do for that. Before reading this, lol, I watered the two dry plants with straight spring water at 6.3. I measured the runoff, which I know some question, but it actually came out slightly higher than going in (@6.7 coming out). Not really sure what that means, though if low ph in the enriched water is a cause, hopefully it’s already resolving itself.

FFOF is buffered, so as the water moves through the soil column the PH will increase, which is the reason you need to know the PH of the nute water going in. PH the water to about 6.2, when the nute water hits the roots they will take the nutes available at that range, as the water increases in PH as it moves through the soil, the nutes available at the higher PH levels will be absorbed by the plant. When mixing the nutes, add the calmag first, mix, wait 15 minutes, then add the rest of the nutes, mix, wait another 15 mintues, then ph the mixture. Best of luck!

The fact that it is buffered, like just about every potting soil, is exactly why phing your water is not necessary.
Outdoors, rain doesnt seem bad for plants
