No to the defoliating part...dur
I see a lot of posts about defoliation. I’ve seen pics that make me shake my head. Each leaf is like a single solar panel because it is. If you were in a solar powered aircraft (there’s one that circled the earth) would you want a single panel removed? When light is weak then selectively. Very selectively. It’s better to chop your tops and lower your light if you have the time.

If you do decide to defoliate start with just the tough huge fan leaves. The oldest ones. Definitely don’t get aggressive. I’ve done it.

Sometimes it's just needed. Not to increase yields it better growth but for airflow. That plant is definitely not one of them though.

oh it definitely kicks ass when done right, like steroids and weightlifting.
I just think it's not getting applied correctly by some. I hope this vid shows im not against some leaf ripping, just have strong feelings on its proper application to benefit the plant and the grower during the grow cycle. While my video is titled LST response im using it to show the defol stimulus.
Edit: he transplanted, means no leaf ripping..have to wait or dont do it at all
