So I have low pH and looking to raise the pH with dolomite lime.

How much should one top dress with for 4 gal pots?

There’s no lime in peat based soil just now that’s why I’m having issues.

any recommendations appreciated!

cheers

Great topic,was researching this last night.A cup per 7.5 gallons is what i found.
But would this not depend on what your base water is and what your soil is at?

I was guessing that he add some perlite in is mix like 33% thats why i was aiming low when my promix hp it 6 month old 2 cyle i add 1/3 off a cup each 5 gallon and they love it .my premix amendement already have a little oyester shell and lime in it but not enought to keep up with the ph.

Water is very soft - 34ppm usually. I always seem to get pH crashes mid-late flower and now have the tools to find out more.

pH was at 4.8 which is causing me lots of issues. Managed to get this up to 5.4-5.7 by top dressing with worm castings and Flushing the media.

@swedsteven

Just worried about burning the roots? Is top dressing in one go ok?

This is them a week apart after the pH crashed.

Also the black right one is starting to progress the same. That’s in a 3 gal airpot and is showing pH 5.06

I would start low say 2 tbl spoons per pot.Do you have a probe type ph pen?
Yeah it’s a good one - apera ph60s spear ph tester.

Its calibrated and also my run off when I measured it was 5.8 after feeding 6.5 so would indicate the soil is around 5.1
