Topping an older plant

I have a pink kush plant that is five ish weeks old from being cut as a clone. I want to start flowering in about a week. The plant is not topped but I decided I want to top it. Is one week going to be enough time for it to adjust from the topping? Also will topping this late still increase my yield?

a week should be okay i think. it will still grow during flower so the week will be enough time for it to heal and start growing and then flower stretch.

Where are you topping it? At the Second node I'd wait two weeks. Probably a week at the third-fourth. Topping any higher doesn't make too much sense unless you have a really wide space to grow in.

Topping an older plant like that you should be fine with a week, but two would be better. Your lateral branches will explode in growth but the top tends to take longer to regain its growth rate at that height, any the sativas I grow do. I don't grow many indicas although I do have a kush I am growing now and topped at the 12th node and she is slow to recover, but again the lateral growth was great.
Good Luck

I think i decided to not top. I am somewhat on a time constraint and I dont want to rih losing the big production from a solid main cola. I heard indicas can take longer to recover so I think ill let her be. Next time I am going to have to top way earlier on so there is time
