some autos have a long life span for them, this dude has a 7ft tall one.. its strain dependent and also what you can put into it ancd how good you are, http://youtu.be/TBJPAtrFiLc theses are also outdoors, he got a setpup indoors also that are 4-5ft auto, and he pulls a decent amount. a few auto growers on youtube have been pulling better and better amounts off them. i just like you can veg out your regular plants and have the autos with them constantly and not change them and when your regular is done vegghing you thro it in the flower room its juts nice not having toi move them.

You can top them if you want to. However the stress could increase your chance of turning your girl hermy, stunting growth and/or effecting your yield. Because autos have a predetermined life span, your plants will waste about a week recovering than growing. If you do top them do it early. I have a topped la diva growing now and she turned out better than i thought. She has some big colas but they seem to be a bit more airy than the other la divas i have. Check out the grow in my sig. Im close to harvesting so ill have some numbers in a couple weeks.

i top autos if they're growing really fast during the first week. 7 or 8 days after germination, i usually have a cotyledon with 2 nodes above that. topping above the 2nd node produces 4 colas. the reason for doing this is to keep the plant shorter but with the same results. i do not top photos like this because of the extra growing time allows for more flexibility.

Not a good idea to top them, no. There not meant to be, they dont have a long enough life to come back from it and you end up with stick buds. Good luck

I had two "haze v.2" autos by Dinafem, one left as it was, single cola, the other toped and fimed, six colas. The topped plant yielded far more than the untouched though it took only a ŵeek further.
So yes you can definitely top and fim in a very early stage of the plant.

I topped one of my pakistan ryders and she had two tops, but the bottom colas all started rising up making a flat cannopy rather than a christmas tree shape. I now top all of my autos. I got 3 ozs of the pakistan ryder. Probably would of got around an oz without it...

It only sets you back 1-2 days at the most. (during this time only the roots are growing, bigger roots=bigger plant) you need to top BEFORE the plan does its stretch before it buds. If you top after you get little tinny pathetic top nugs, trust me ive topped 2 lowryders 1 lowryder easy rider 1 pakistan ryder and 3 Northern Lights auto. They all responded the same and made an even canopy, except the one I topped too late. hope this helps diminish all the stupid rumors out their...
