topping plants need help

im assuming they wont goto flower untill u cut the lights to 12/12 im not sure tho... the question is , is the light adequate for vegging but ur plants seem to be doing fine .... i use the 6500k or blue spectrum for veg, and the 2700k or red spectrum for flower.... again im not sure how hps works
 
those indicas look like they have a good bit of sativa in there genetics to me... those leaves dont appear very fat to me ... they are growing wonderfully tho

80% indica 20% sativa my incredible bulk is 90% indica 10%sativa but as far as hps i will never use any other as these have been my life saver as 14plants under 2x600w hps yeild 51 oz only 3/12 weeks veg only supercropped very happy
 
hps is awesome dont get me wrong i made a mistake by choosing cfl... it gets expensive trying to make up for the power cfls lack.... i will be ordering an 600w or 1000w hps for flowering as soon as i get a harvest and return some of my prior investement

Ya just beware that you're gonna need an AC in the summer, I need one even in the winter bc it still gets too hot in my room. I'm still a fan of the max output of hid ' s but some people on here have me seriously considering led's. If you have a small grow room like mine it's going to be hard to control the temps you will definitely need an AC as well.
 
yea my grow rooms small i have a 4x4x6 room... constructed of 2x4s and drywall.... it doesnt release heat well... i have 2 - 4'' inline duct fants one for exaust one for intake, i also have a 12'' isocillating fan i use during the light period

My room size is 14ft H 13ft W 10ft L
 
niether but both lol .... u wasnt supposed to hack into ur main stem just the new growth, topping is when u completley snapp off the new growth , fimming is when u cutt off or pinch 80%of the new growth leaving the remaining 20%
 
fimming u can grow between 2-4 new shoots if done correctly with the pinching method (which i have yet to master) topping u only get 2 new shoots gaurenteed everytime

not bad , looks good to me i just never went so deep i really get in there to the newest of the growth..... notice how between my Y there is no middle branch stump....i take from the vvery tip the growth that hasnt even opened yet ( these are already growing there new shoots as u can see, the Y is already there. this was topped around 3-4 days ago ...but between that theres is no stump , it is correctly topped ...then there is fimming ....thats why its called Fim tho i wasnt joiking it stands for (FUCK I MISSED) ... its really hard to fuck this up most of the time worst case scenario u just end up with a fugly stump or dont take off enuff to create new tops,
