total wattage enough?

i have cfls all placed bout 2-3 inches from my plant at 138 watts is this enough to veg three plants or do i need more i plan on upping wattage come flower.
 
yeah it depends on what u wanna yield..... if ur a first timer and just wanna get a grow under your belt, like me, it might be enough for 3 plants if u double it for flower.. other wise throw one out and concentrate on the other two
 
half ounce a plant is all im expecting for this first grow hows that sound and yes im going to double the wattage for flowering

i used only 78-173 watts throught my grow but i broke my main cola off on accident so im prolly gonna yield somewhere near a half...... its my first successful grow ever so im happy..... so around 150 watts a plant for flowering is fine so you would need at least 8-10 of em....... 42 watters that is........ thats gonnna create alot of heat.......
 
those should be fine for a few weeks of vegging, but for really fast growth i'd advise going with more as they get bigger in vegging, the more the better. lol.
 
you'd be better off sticking with smaller wattage cfls if u wanna only us 260 watts for 3 plants... get 10-12 26 watters and surround the plants with light from all sides

i plan on focusing a 42 on the main cola then do some smaller wattage surronding the lower branches
 
260w is a bit low, i'd go with like 400w personally, but 260w will work for a few smaller plants, if positioned around the plants for optimum light effeciency i can see you getting around a 1/2 oz a plant dry.
