I thought ffof has ph buffers , so no need to be ph Ing your nutes is there
I don’t think it would be a good idea not to pH. But are you saying the soil will buffer the pH regardless of what the pH is of my nutes that I’m feeding them?
And if that’s the case why have I had pH problems in the past with soil? Maybe I’m misunderstanding something.

yes the soil would have buffer to stabalize to a certain range , ie, 6,2-6,8 .
here in uk we have simelar soil (House and Garden bat special )
u probs had ph issues in the past cos ya pissing about with the buffers ,
But if you dont think its that then happy days .

I mean I posted my issue because I’m trying to determine the cause. It’s hard to say for sure. I’m sure you know with these forums there are lots of opinions and solutions based on personal experiences. Don’t get offended, i ask questions because I’m learning and trying to understand as well. I just don’t want to try to correct something that isn’t the real issue. They’re not even drinking water like they use to. I use to water every two days, when I checked last night, the soil was still wet after watering them on Sunday morning.

this is just my opinion mate , Like i say . well i didnt actually say but i think that ffof is on par with our uk h&g bat special and i know that there is no need to ph adjust inflow as like i say the buffers do that part of the work for you .
All you should be checking is EC .

if its only by the fans and everything else is fed the same, its the fan then , the odds of irregular ph in that pattern seems absurd.

Ok so EC. What exactly am I looking for when checking EC? What will it tell me? What are suitable numbers for EC? Should I be checking the EC of my nutes and the runoff, or just one or the other?

All depends on the age of your plants .
I go from .250 to 1.0 just before flower and then upwards to 1.2 mid flower and poss 1.4 if plants are hungry .
The EC will tell you how much feed your giving your plants .

PPM of 400 being fed once a week? Start there. That’s a starting dose.
PPMs range from 375-400 when I prepare my nutes. And I feed only once a week. And I give them cal mag once a week. I’m not sure what’s going on. I flipped them to flower a couple days ago and after the first day I noticed the fan leaves weren’t looking too good. I might have salt buildup so I’ve been giving them RO water for now. Especially after noticed rust brown tips in marks on the leaves. I keep track of everything so I know I’m not over doing it. And I don’t have enough space to transplant to bigger pots.
