And again, sticking to the subject i want to bring this to the table for those "amongst" us that want to know. If a percentage of us think that this is nothing to worry about then shall be it, but those of us that want to know because of the possibility then anyone that can share this kind of info that is useful then i thankyou.

This may or may not be an urban myth. A story that is true is this:
DEA bought several industrial supply companies. They added a man to the sales counter to watch chemical sales. If someone come in for fertilizer and they owned a farm, nothing was thought or it. If they came in and wanted something they did not appear to need, it was sold to them. Then they were followed or GPS tracked. This is how many recent meth-lab busts have happened.

UHHHH!!! Equipment/ferts to grow plants are alot different than the equipment/chemicals to make meth. I am sure if someone walks in and buys 1000 bucks worth of meth making shit and then someone walks in and buys 1000 bucks of common garden supplies, who do you think they are going to watch?? Are you saying that the only people allowed to buy plant stuff are the people that owns farms??? I want to see that article myself.
And again, if you are careful this is something that does not need to be worried about if you do not bring attention to yourself. If your the type of person that has to tell everyone what you are doing then you have every reason to be concerned. Its your choice on how careful you are. One of my friends that I have known for 23 years does not even know I grow, and we both smoke. All he knows is that I always have some. He does not ask questions and I offer no information.

We are talking about growing equipment which many normal people use to grow many different plants that are 100% legal.
Not large quantities of different chemicals that are most likely uncommon for home use, and are well known to create meth when combined!
And jesus christ waffle did you see that movie "BUG" that came out recently....you remind me of those two crazies.
Unless youve really fucked up nobody is putting tracking devices in your shit, besides like everyone said....They have a ton of other ways to bust you that are much cheaper and easier, especially if they already have dirt on you...which they would have if they are going to bother installing tiny gps devices in your goods.
You must be growing 100's of plants and being sloppy about hiding your secret or be on some crazy drug
i havent tried yet to be feeling the way you are about this.
Just imagine the expense and the logistics of intercepting that one certain package to put a gps device in to find its ultimate destination. I think it would probably be easier to retask a CIA satellite and follow it visually that way. Man, that would suck to get busted that way for growing 3 plants.

Bingo. Never, ever tell anyone you grow. If you want to sell a little, you just say "hey, I scored some nice bud and picked a little up for you if you want". If you sell a lot - well you can tell them you scored it somewhere else, but you're going to be drawing attention to yourself. A couple oz here and there will probably keep you under the radar. A couple lbs or more and the wrong people might take notice (cops, competitors, thieves).

gps is line of sight..in other words, it probably would only work out of doors...I'm not saying that LEO would not try using a bug, but it is unprobable unless they already had a target...
I've heard of folks busted at outdoor grows by remote surveilance, cameras and microphone and infrared trip signals along a trail...but in both cases I've seen, the outdoor grows were large enuf to warrant, 1 was 320 plants and the other was 550 plants...it was a county sherrif in both cases doing the bust, but there were DEA observers/consultants in each case...

Any type of tracking device will give off a radio signal. You can check for these buy using a device that sweeps for these signals. Looking for them with the naked eye is silly because the device can be as small as a microchip these days. I don't think it's clear to you what happened to your friend, sounds like you assume he was bugged. If that was the case in the U.S. , that would mean he was already under investigation. You mentioned case work you have read about, but it's not clear to me you know what a case is. The use of widespread electronic surveillance of citizens for the purpose of prosecution is not documented in public records. That level of invasion is both unconstitutional and illegal.
COUNTERMEASURES BUG DETECTORS maybe that sight will help.

You are correct in the fact that this is comparing apples to oranges. All I am saying is this, DEA has used supply line infiltration in the past.
A friend of mine owned a printing equipment business. The Secret Service told him to keep names and addresses of who he sold to. If he did not cooperate, he would be out of business. Also, as long as he was in their "program" he would never have a tax problem.
As for an article to source to, the New York Times had a couple writers produce countless meth stories and those writers confirmed that the DEA had bought a couple chemical houses. Check it out on line.
Finally, all I'm suggesting is pay cash and be careful. Wafflehouselover has an over-the-top story that may be true.

this is true, a friend of mines who travel all along the coast like a ghost with a car thats not under his name surprisiingly on his psi report they know everywhere he goes it also states on there that a tracking device was planted in his car. His not a grower of course but it did happen and the fact is that its true. Again you guys are ruling out the possibiblity that this isn't going to happen because we grow a few nugs here and there, i just want to know what i asked for not because its not going to happen because we're small timers.

Legally speaking....I would tell the SS to fuck off. Yes, he can be court ordered to cooperate, but outside of that your friend should have told them to kiss his ass. Why would he have a tax problem anyway if he was running a legitamate business?
