I still have 3 plants outdoors finishing up. My husband and I made a small hoop house around the plants and covered them with plastic. We been using a heater and dehumidifier at night to keep them comfortable. Anyway we want super sleepy couch lock weed. What percentage of amber trichomes do you think we got so far?

I still see more clear heads in there. A couple were too blurry to see.
Is it possible those are new trichomes from turning the heater off a couple nights? Like how stress sometimes blows out new trichomes at the end? Because this is been outdoors flowering since August 7th. It's weird this late it should still have clear trichomes?

Not sure. I've never grown outdoors. I'd just give it a few more days and check again. in the same spot.

Sounds good ill have my husband take some more shots with the microscope in a couple days. He didn't have a tripod so its hard to keep the microscope from shaking. Were gonna try a tripod that we have for a smartphone on the microscope so we can get better shots!

I clipped my loupe to my ipad and ran a video around the tent to get some nice screen shots from. It worked like a charm.

I was able to get more clear shots with a usb microscope. I had nanners to pluck.. so I cut them off, and used those cuts to check under the microscope.

Here is how they came out.. much better.

Wow, amazing photography. You have a link to that USB microscope product? I should get one.

Panda--yeah, seems awfully late to still be finishing, but I guess you have yourself a very late Sativa-dominant strain? Anyway looks to me like you've got maybe 30-40% amber? I'm still somewhat new to this (just finished first grow) but based on research/experience trichomes mature in a very non-uniform way. Wondering if maybe you want to harvest when half or more are amber, since if you wait too long some of the more mature trichomes will be over-ripe and the overall effect may be diminished.

Just go to Amazon and find one. They aren't that expensive. Just put USB microscope and you will find them. Some are expensive though. Most reviews will tell you people who use what for what. Many will say this USB microscope show my Trichomes super clear...(example)
