So it looks like OG trainwreck is a clone only strain, but this looks promising. Can't personally vouch for it, but its a start.

Thanks brother I appreciate the sleuthing. I remember it being around just 10 years ago or so, so I thought it would've survived the fruity terp invasion

Dr Greenthumb has the best seeds available as S1 Fems. I'm growing one now...

Santacruz Goat Farmer has the best cut I've seen but he wont sell it and the people he says have it are also price gougers that will hold it over your head..

Cannaventure Seeds has pure Arcata Trainwreck seeds for sale right now. He also might have clones of it for sale. I didn't check his email list. I just got Trinity and Triangle Kush clones from him and his customer service and prices are really great.

The original one most folk know is yes the problem is theres also cuts and seedlines out there called trainwreck that arent related to the cali one some even may pre date it so that makes it a bit more complicated situation ime seedism seeds used to do a killer cheese x trainwreck cross that was good weed shame they arent around much these days i did hear they may be back on the scene in the future though and also the hso one wasnt bad either

That's one thing that bugs me about strains from before 2010 all the way to the 70s. Blue dream, trainwreck, blueberry, white widdow, etc, are all available from dozens of seed banks, and no two of them are the same. Makes me wonder how many people are full of shit when say they have the strain of the day x classic strain...

Anyway, I went ahead and bought a pack of AG seed Co's trainwreck x nl5 Lmao

Not claiming it's the real deal or anything, just addicted to buying seeds.
