where should the water line come to when transplanting rockwool cuttings+seedlings ? What are good methods to use when transplanting cuttings (root length? plant size?) that are in rockwool into a flood table?? i had problems last time because of flood times+ flood leevel and ended up cutting the top of the plants off and cloning them, scrapping the roots in fear of rot and other diseases. Any input on transplanting cuttings into a hydroton flood table is extremely helpful! thanks people of riu!
edit: also; is there ways to do it all without rockwool? for example an aero cloner/bubble cloner ????(straight hydroton transplant from aero clones) thanks!

I would buy some larger rockwool cubes, they come with the hole already made for the smaller cubes. You can set your runoff tube @ 1 inch from the top of the cube and they will be great with no yuk or mold.A little H2O2 in the res cures that too.Check out the video "I Grow Chronic" on youtube.Good Luck.....

dont let your cube get wet and if you do areo cloner just be careful with roots
dont water the cube water around it never water cube. I'd agree with the flood level being 1inch below cube

Thanks fellas much appreciated, so 6x6 cubes for transplant and the water level 1" below the bottom of the rockwool? They will each be in their own bucket by the way . So I just don't understand how do the roots that are in the rockwool get watered if they're above flood line ?? I've been told the rockwool should sit in the water but if it does you should have it only 1/4 inch in and only flood once a day. I want more flood times than this so I was hoping to if possible just stick with the 1" cubes and transplant to the hydroton with those. How far above flood line should I have the 1x1 or the 6x6 whatever would be better. The containers are 1 gallons and im gonna rise everything up so they aren't sitting on the bottom of the tub

The roots will keep everything moist, pump needs to kick on at least 3 times a day for proper growth though.

again its better to hand water around the cube at 1st than to have the cube get hit with water directly it causes root rot

Don't use the large rockwool blocks. If you're in hydroton there is no need. I place mine high in the pot and set my flood line to just underneath the cube. As rinlead3r said, you may have to hand water at first but it's better than stem rot.
