I got a clone from a dispensary a few weeks back and I need to put it in a bigger pot. I don't have the same soil that came with the plant from the dispensary, will the shock of the different soil harm it? Sorry, I am new to growing.

do u know what kind of soil it was in? If it was from a dispensery it was more than likely organic soil e.g. oceanforest, uncle malcoms, or homemade( worm casting, guano, perlite, moss. Anyways, I would stick with an organic soil, Foxfarms ocean forest has a great rep plus as long as your not starting out a seedling, it s hard to burn your plants with this stuff. However, cut the ocean forest, or any other soil for that matter, with about 20% perlite!!! This will help in drainage and lessen some of the harshness of the transplant. Dont nute after the transplant for about 15-20 days, as ur soil will be doing all the work. Checking PH Daily.... If u dont know what kind of nute to get and ur already using organic soil. I would go with an organic nute like "BMO" Ebay only- search super plant tonic, and u will find their store. This stuff is a wonder drug for your plants. Search them up here on RIU and see what others are sayin. U can get their entire lineup for around 35$ shipped. I've grown with advanced 500$$ said and done, Dutch, BC, Foxfarm, and my best yield to date has come from 100% organic BMO or Blue Mountain Organics. Another thing to look for when transplanting, depending on how big your root ball is, is to gently moisten the prepared hole in your soil to gently set you rootball in. Hope this helps...:peace:
