Transplanting from outisde

Okay so my buddy has this plant thats growing outside, and he wants to get rid of it. Its been in flowering for a few weeks, and I told him I'd take it off his hands, so I've been setting up my closet to get it ready. Now I don't want to fuck anything up when I'm unplanting it and replanting in a bucket to bring inside. Any tips?

Edit: Also, it's only about 1-2 foot tall, not to big at all.

Shouldn't be hard uprooting it. Just check for bugs. I never like bringing outside plants indoors just because of bugs. I don't even trust other people's clone for the same reason.

Alright, now whats a good technique to uproot it? This will be my first time even having a plant indoors, and I don't wanna fuck it up. Also, should I start the light in the morning and try to keep the natural light cycle it was used too?

Dig it up! Are you serious? Dig her up, have the container there ready and put her in it. Ta da!

KISS. Plants appreciate it and respond.

Haha, I know it's supposed to be simple. But like I said I wanna take my precautions lol.
Dude. Give it every chance by keeping it SIMPLE! I'm serious. Things get fucked up in life when people start making a big deal out of shit that isn't a big deal. No FF soil or suffer the burn. Cutting the farthest reaching roots will not kill it. Once recovered (a couple of days at most) and these severed root tips will regenerate 2 to 4 new tips.

Just the same procedure as with any transplant. Medium ready and damp, no watering for a few days post-transplant and filtered sunlight or weak HID/full strength CFL.

Thanks for the responses guys, I'm about to go get soil and some CFL set up then I'll be goin to get the plant. I'll post some pictures as soon as I get it all ready!

Treat it like a cut and seal the wound. When one of my plants got hacked in half, after recovering from the shock, I used blue painters tape to seal the wound. I'm sure there's better stuff to use but whatever it worked.
