Transplating cause males?

Well, I have read a few times now that stress can lead to a male plant, so would transplanting plants be a bad idea?

stress can NOT lead to a male plant... that is all about genetics. stress CAN cause hermies though (plants with both male and female characteristics) and this is bad.

i have never had a plant hermie from transplanting... only thing i have done to cause that was to fuck around with my lights erratically.

transplant away, just be careful not to break the plant or damage the root ball cause that will slow growth or kill them.
