Trichomes and your thoughts - is it legit?

Damn nice looking hooch right there. If all the whites are gone your window is opening up. Some strains stay a little hairier than others.
All my personal opinion.
Thanks man! It’s going to have great bag appeal. Thanks for your evaluation! Nice to see it coming to a close

I have a plant that has a lot of amber on the top calyxes but there’s a lot of clear mixed in on the same calyx. I think pistils all turned, receded pistils, swollen calyxes are primary indicators now that my plants are deep into flower. Not sold on using trichomes only, it’s more a secondary indicator.

It’s funny I have the same kind of scenario going on. My 3 autos are gonna set the record for going the longest time before maturity. It’s been 16 weeks since sprout and they are all over the board. One is still popping white pistils by the day and moving super slow….it does have mostly cloudy trichs but still a fair percentage of clears and no ambers except for the leaves which don’t count. Plant #2 is closer but still has white pistils and the same trich situation.
The 3rd plant, which is a totally different pheno, ripened according to my eye about a week ago….no white pistils….everything looks picture perfect. But ambers are very hard to find. Maybe 2-3% overall but they are bunched up together. I’ll find a calyx with 6-8, but that’s it for that entire bud. There’s still maybe 10-15% clear still. I’m beginning to think it could be one of those strains that just doesn’t amber up like “normal”.
I’m watching the trichs now, but only because the buds are ripe (for me at least).

My Dolato is now finally clouding up with receding pistils, amber is rare on calyxes, it’ll be 14 weeks in a few days. I’ve kept humidity low, around 40%, not sure if that makes a difference

I add 15-20 days to what the seed pack recommends and call it good. I've had weed that was "premature" harvested by a couple weeks and patients were asking if I had more. Chopped early due to nanners. sooo its all preference unless you're harvesting way too early.

I think over nuting and improper watering practices don’t equate to early finish
I’m not reading you mail, there isn’t any sign of over fertilizing otherwise I’d see burnt tips and dark green foliage still. It’s in a sip so it waters itself. The question is would you harvest those or wait? Not sure what dead leaves does to cured bud I guess is my question.

I think it was Harley Smith who explained that Beta Mycene is at its peak when the tricones are cloudy. It is the mycene gives the uplifting energetic feeling. As they ripen and become amber, the Mycene decreases and effect is more of a couch lock. So its all preference.

I guess you know better than I what killed those leaves ?

I don’t know better just looking to learn and discuss. I lowered the nute levels a few weeks back. I do see what your seeing a few burnt tips going over the plant, I guess why then would it be yellowing at the same time?
