Trichomes

Two Big Bang Autos sprouted on Jan.25 began 24/0 switched to 12/12 3 weeks ago. They are under 150 HPS and 130 watts CFL in 2 gallon pots of Ocean Forest.

Fed Big Bloom and molasses. Flushed two times last week or so. Last flush clear runoff.

I only have a magnifying glass and can see trichomes.

1. Will magnifying glass be ok to see amber trichs?

2. Plant had great smell, then ammonia type smell, now going back to a semi-skunky.

When will trichs become amber?

Since youve already put them to 12/12 for 3 weeks just continue like that, you could hurt them by changing.

In my research alot of people actually still throw thier AUTOS in a dark period of at least 6 hours...

And alot of people I have met say the plant focuses more energy on BUD development with a 12 hour dark period.

I think its still sorta in the air, but then again I have only ever done like 1-2 autos and I just did them like normal with veg and then flower

they go from clear colored (which gives it that frosty look) then they'll get clowdy/white will look like someone salted it, thennn comes the redish/amber trichs once you start seein those CUTT! but you gotta be patient to get to those

1. NO not Really a magnify glass might not cut it, you need a min 30x Jewelers Loop, there not that hard to find radioshack/dispensaries/headshops sell the lighted ones.

2. Trichcromes generally will turn amber around thier 8-12 week of FLOWERING, meaning if you vegged your plant for 4 weeks and then flowered it, your plant will be 12-16 weeks or more old.
