trimming bottom branches during flower? (og strain)

So im at day 17 of flowering and I was looking thru my canopy and all the bottom branches (under scrog net) look weak and looks like it'll only produce popcorn buds. Can I cut all the lower branches off without shocking my girls and helping yield? Right now I have 8 ladies of white fire alien og. Please help. Thanks

alot of people say not to trim in flower because it can set you back alittle and maybe affect yeild, but i cut weak branches out all the time in flower, i dont cut fan leaves, i have never seen any problems from it

Hell yeah. Chop those out.

It will overall probably decrease your yield slightly but it's much easier to trim a few large cola's than it is millions of popcorn nugs

In a SCROG, any small to medium branches that are under your screen are not getting enough light anyway. The best SCROG grow I ever saw had ZERO branches under the screen, nothing under there but fat stalks supporting huge buds above the screen. No need to salvage little popcorn buds anyway.
