trimmings shelf life

Hey guys... I just came across some trim from my June harvest (still has green color to it!). i was wondering if it would still be good for any kinda cooking. If not, oh well... just didn't want to waste potential thc . The trim hasn't been in any kinda bag or anything (just chillin' on a mirror in my closet that I used to harvest on). It's only about a 1/2 cups worth..... Any help is appreciated!!

go ahead and cook with it or make hash/oil. THC is degraded by light, heat, and oxygen, in that order. There is undoubtedly some degradation, but if you kept it in the dark and it wasn't getting too hot, then degradation would be minimal. To give you an idea, buds left in direct sunlight @ 80 degrees f contained 30% of their THC after two years. Balls of hash left in direct sunlight for 2 years had 30% of the THC level at the surface, but still retained 90% THC in the center (which was protected from light and oxygen by the hash itself).

I dry out my trimmings then place them in my freezer in a big ziploc. When I get enough trim from a couple harvests it's hash time!
