Trump To Turn Himself In

I get it but if he died tomorrow, the world would be a better place.
True, and Mitch would drop to his knees and thank Jesus, the republicans might be saved in 24, he can put lipstick on the pig and memory hole Donald while he's still warm in his grave. Back to the original plan of strangling American democracy in its sleep. Trust me, nothing personal, but I want Donald to stick around for a while, preferably running around loose, dividing, ripping the guts out of the GOP and torpedoing Meatball Ron. I'd love to see him walk his base out of the GOP and make a bull moose run himself, if he takes just 10% of the GOP base with him, they are screwed in 24. The democrats need at least one election cycle with total power to clean things up a bit and remove many of the GOP's advantages, including foxnews. Donald can give them that election cycle or two so they can get shit done and move America ahead a decade socially.

Trump looks really unhealthy but I'd prefer to see him live to face the consequences. Democracy is too fragile to let this go without forcing the right wing in America to come to grips with what actually happened.

We can no longer rely on the 240 year tradition of the peaceful transfer of power in America. Without that tradition to protect democracy, then we need to rely on deterrence. Trump's plan, including the violence to delay the electoral college vote, the fake elector scheme, and the plan to throw the election back to the states, was among the worst crimes committed by any US President in history. Trump needs to publicly face the consequences of all of that if we can no longer count on politicians respecting the will of the voters. I'd like every future politician who even thinks about pulling this kind of shit again to immediately reject it as personally risky.

Democracy is too fragile to let this go without consequence.

As long as anyone who was an accomplice in the various plots to overturn the election meets with the same fate.

If only trump is charged, your republic is still standing on shaky ground. If no one is charged, well, you guys had a pretty good run.

It's very funny that dropthesound posts crazy outlandish stuff all the time and we just smile and nod. Nobody gets up in arms about it or reacts like they would to any other person posting it.

Shine on you crazy lizard person diamond.
They might buy from the advertisers. Meanwhile, those that really would..?

Trump stated he was going to get arrested last Tuesday and it didn't happen.

Trump attorney Joe Taco, said when Trump gets indicted he will turn himself in.
You do have a point about the turning himself in part. He might be in so deep now that when he does turn himself in, he might not get out after his plea hearing, depending on how aggressive the prosecutor wants to be about his many threats to prosecutors and attempts to obstruct justice. Once indicted it could be the end of the line for Donald, especially if he doesn't STFU! Once indicted the judge owns Donald's ass and can jail or bail him and is kinda responsible for him, so that will mean a muzzle unless the judge is a fool and lets him loose without one.

I'd expect that he will get bail but with conditions. Probably some kind of gag order that Trump will violate which will lead to another round of crying victim and fund raising.

I know you've mentioned the 'no bail' scenario before and agree. NY Judge on Trump Org with CFO purposely gave him the sentence he did, so he could serve it at Rikers..unless there's some update I hadn't read. They use a numerical grading system for sentencing for fairness.

More than the term, was the place of confinement so important as to send a message.

He earned $500k per day in donations during those three days since announcement. So $1.5M. Then reality happened.

I think that's where Jack comes into the picture, he will have Mark Meadows nuts crushed to a pulp and have the fucker screaming for a deal when he knows how long he will serve in a federal prison and realizes he will get out in a bag. Mark can deliver all of them with receipts, he was conspiracy central, and everybody went through him, he knows about all the pardon requests, not just a few. Jack doesn't need Mark to put Donald away and will do it before the J6 trials and use it as leverage to get congressional republicans. Not much risk in going for a big conspiracy case, if Donald is gone already anyway and several of the conspirators testify for a deal along with other evidence. The documents case first removes the risks of going for the bigger broader conspiracy case and gives increased leverage over Mark. I think Mark will become a star one day, as in star witness and he is not ready for prison life, few of them are.
