I had an uncle land at Utah beach. The only thing he would really say about it is that he was a medic. Medics worked in pairs. When my heavily laden uncle jumped off the landing craft he sank into water over his head. His buddy reached down and grabbed him by the pack and pulled him back up.

My grandfather fought in the Pacific twice with the 1st Marines. He was not inclined to give details. He drank a lot for a few decades after.
Yeah my uncle was a Chemical engineer in laos and my dad was a chaplin.i was an infantryman in Iraq but id rather not talk about iraq ;(

Me and my mom had to help my 90 year old grandma to the poles. Guise that makes us bad people lol. Shes voted in every election since the 40s can you imagine what she seen in her life. My grandpa before he died RIP use to tell such amazing storys he was at the invasion of normandy.
We've forgotten the lessons these people learned the hard way. They would never have tolerated what's going on in our country right now.

Another New executive order of the 'Make Amerika Great Again' campaign; the Chump has suspended implementation of the rule rewriting financial advisors to act in the best interests of their clients.

Gosh, that makes me feel like he's really looking out for me.

Responding to the poll in the thread:
I voted the batshit crazy option, but I think the situation is even worse than that.

This seems to explain a great deal of carefully manufactured and orchestrated turmoil in our government right now.

If this is correct- and the past 25 years have been leading us directly to this point, of that there can be little doubt- then we're witnessing the usurpation of the control of our government in a rather more fundamental way than ever before.

America is acting like it's on a war footing economically and socially where dissent, political engagement, disobedience of any kind must no longer be tolerated. There's only one problem; there's no enemy.

Muslims and immigrants are far less likely to commit acts of terrorism than conservative and/or religious extremists of domestic origin. Yet they and equally industrious Latinos are singled out as enemies. Racism is deliberately being fanned BY OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, now so clearly on the wrong side of any reasonable definition of freedom, equal rights or fair play. I could go on, but here's another list to ponder;

Ttystk, they are going to call the game. Most of them are brainwashed or indoctrinated. The few that set the pace and run the international banking and nation owning game love to divide and conquer. They are largely white but most aren't yelling n%#@+& or even saying it. Racism works for them but the dominating umbrella factor is that there are very sick people holding and seeking more power. John Stewart said ; "while you are watching the clown show, they are breaking in to your car." He was talking about trump and congress but it's true of the media showing the whole shit show.

The elite are mostly white but the whole race thing is a conveniently trumped up side show; the real class war is all about the money. Any guesses who's winning?

A @Drowning-Man in the 'Trump's first Week' thread, I have to laugh at the ironies! ...Or cry, not so much difference sometimes.

Money IS power. Once it buys the right to control politics, what can't be done with it?
money has it's limits and of course it's advantages. it takes money but when you have vast wealth what are you going to do with it? some billionaires are still barely share holders in the biggest games. Money might buy you vip admission but it takes movements and connections and nepotism to be a master player. in fact much of the large power players are funded by individuals and institutions who believe they are buying power. Some are satisfied to support something but many are duped. Money is just chips.

This is fuzzy navel thinking with no focus and explains well why you've been suckered by those who DO know how to wield the power of the purse strings.
