So this is my first grow. It is more practice than anything. I am using things we already had (minus 2 items) before jumping into it more. Just thought I'd share and get some opinions or at the very least give everyone a slight chuckle

Details are:
2x2x4 tent, 75 actual watts (led), ffof soil, 1 unknown genetics plant (bagseed)

What's your budget for lights?
At this moment hardly any i could prob get a fairly cheap blurple light in about a month. I was thinking the ipower 300 led $80 shipped..... buuuttt if i wait till after the year and save the money I was going to upgrade everything.

Unless space is totally unavailane i would upgrade to an 80" high tent. 48" is a big mistake. The LED must be 22". Even at 18" counting hardware that leaves only 30" of space counting planter. This is T5 territory .

The tent is my wifes she got for a few outside plants during the winter and the leds were for a dartfrog vivarium and were used to grow tropical plants no further than 36" being used on essentially a fish tank with a hydroton false bottom and soil (kind of funny how many things from reptile keeping tranfers over to indoor gardening) but this is all practice for when i upgrade after this year to learn about deficiencies, over/under watering ect.. I was going to go with a 2x4x6.5 to fit in the closet and still have room to mess with ducting

I think I would go with 2-150 watt equivalent CFL'S from home depot. About $22.00 for both. A couple of cheap hanging sockets $10.00. If you are a DIY guy, perfect LED builds for about $50.

Crazy but everywhere around here stopped carrying cfl's walmart, lowes, home dePOT, reasors, the only place I've seen them in months is a local nursery that just got into indoor growing supplies somewhat recently
