Steamrollers are really easy. I did one that cracked instantly because I didnt know how to weld the glass properly, and then the one with those dots. I guess the thing with them is that they are so easy they are just boring. ;) There are some REALLY **REALLY** cool steamrollers that have the bowl attached to a dragons body, whose head is inside the steamroller and the smoke fills from the nose of the dragons face. They are wicked cool, but that detailed work is well beyond my skillset at this point. :)

Spent the last few days re-organizing the shop a bit and upgrading ventilation too. Time to get to work............

I like the simple ones...gosh i remember a clear one i had as a teenager and dropped it out the 2nd story window (almost busted with a lung full) and it didnt even break!! If you make a orange dotted one, i'll buy it!!

Just a clear spoon with orange dots? Dots real big? Different sizes? Same orange or 3 versions of orange? Silver fuming? Just a basic spoon with carb? :)

Some new pictures....... Its nice out and been working a lot more the last few days. Started working on bubblers, now that I'm confident in my spoons/bats. Never made the spoons 100% perfect, and there's a million more styles to learn still, but the basics of glass melting, angles, fuming, and color basics are good.

Here you see two very tall standup pieces, both with major cracking, terribly thin glass, and terrible welding work. I'm going to smash them against the wall later and then crush them into frit and re-use the top to make something nicer. Also 3 more bubblers, the red one is from red tubing and strikes in the kiln to a deep burgandy/ mushroomy color. The clear bubbler with pink dots on the top doesnt stand up, but I know why and how to fix next time. The one that does stand up properly and has a yellow&blue tint is actually clear, but fumed with silver for the color. The other two things with little loops at the end are meant for your vagina if you have one, your butt if you dont. :-)

Stands up perfectly, lots of inside chamber room for smoke.

The reason the two tall pieces cracked is because of not knowing how to weld on the glass joints. I've got them down now, so this isnt a problem now.

I really dig this one. It came out just enough of a free form and tall to look nice.

The camera makes the pink coloring look white, it's really pink / bubblegum.

hehehe

That's the best one I think.

You got the ideas and shapes down, you just need to learn to clean those pieces up though. It's gotta be hard working with hot glass my man, props.

I got the netflix version of this thread, got to read it all in one sitting. Your progress has been amazing as well as your pipes. Keep it up I can't wait to see what else is next.

Thanks guys....... Made two more last night trying to perfect the "judges gavel" or whatever you call them. Hammer pipe? Gavel-Bubbler-O-Matic?

The bigger one is clear, the second is silver fumed on the tip of the mouthpiece and the entire bubblers body. I think there's $4 worth of silver just on the one pipe here alone. Those dimes melt fast! :)

I'm happy how the welds turned out, I need a little more practice shaping the mouthpieces.

The last picture they are full of water to give an idea of what they look like ready to puff. Each bowl holds about a gram of tobacco. ;) The fumed one also has a flare on the inside downstem which makes for monster bubbbbbbllllleeeeeeessssssss...........

Probably make 4 or 5 more than go on to a new design......

I think I'll try selling these for $25 + $5 shipping, and another $10 for color or fuming. They take about 45 minutes each and use about $10 worth of glass. Its mostly break even but that's OK! :) The thing I love the most is the WEIGHT. they are over a half pound each. Very heavy.

Ok enough rambling, thanks for the compliments before from everyone as always.......

Hell yeah dude looking good! THe chaimber on those things looks pretty good, just the connection from the mouthpiece to the water chamber is a little shabby - I'm sure you realize this and don't need my constructive criticism

Something like this?

lol this is this little pipe that I bought that I only smoked out of maybe 3 times. Cool pipe though :bongsmilie:

(The smoke goes from the bowl, into the neck, through the body and out the tail. There is a carb on it's neck)

on another note: keep making that shit researchkitty ;)

Custom animal shaped pipes? Weird! I dont know how to do the shapes yet so count me out for a few months on that request. :)

The fully fumed silver bubbler in the hammer shape is sold and so is one of the older standups, rest are still avail. Have a guy coming this weekend to pickup a bunch of stuff for his store too, so we'll see what lasts and doesnt........

Here's 3 more fresh from the kiln. I did the spoon in Amber Purple and Root Beer colors to show a friend how an outside color warp & rake is done. First spoon I've made in a month....

with flash

without flash i need a new camera!

the root beer / amber purple spoon

the smaller of the two bubblers just made, 6" tall 4" mouthpiece

The downstem looks short, its just meant to hold a ton of water and hit slowly. As intended.

and the pretty one. :) Dual flower marble implosions at the bottom. Purple tubing for the mouthpiece. Over 8" long and 5" long mouthpiece. It also has an amber/purple half marble on the side....

I'm starting to get more PM's about pricing. The first batch of bubblers (not these ones) are $25 each, free shipping for clear, and $30 each, free shipping for ones with gold/silver/color on them. For the pipes in this particular post, the spoon is $18 free shipping, 6" bubbler is $25 free shipping, and the purple-ish huge one is $35 free shipping. Everything is cheaper by half of what you'd pay in a smoke shop retail, or twice as expensive as the poor Indian kid who has to make them mass prodo. :)

Thanks everyone!

Good news!

The company that sells the pipes on the web for me started selling them to local shops. I live in Canada, so its a little silly to be filling out customs forms all the time and shipping each pipe. These guys do it all for me.

They've sold almost everything in inventory so now I have to ship them new stuff.... Time to get crankin stuff out. Its kinda spooky to see the website with "Sold!" on 95% of what is there.... Only 3 pipes are left. None of the new stuff in the last week is there though, time to take pictures and ship em out. :)
