Trying to replace 750Watt HPS please help!

Hey guys I need some help choosing a light to replace a 750watt hps in a 2x4 area, I notice the hps has noticeably less light on the sides of the tent as its rectangular and I figure the LED will pay for itself in electricity and hps bulb replacement costs in probably 1-2 grows.. electricity here is expensive like 20cents a kwh because the hps and the 400watt mh I use puts me in the high tier, I use 400 watt 24/7 during veg and 12/12 750 watt in flower

Ive seen some lights like this http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-grow-lights/led-grow-light-300w-rectangular-panel-plant-grow-lamp/1658/
and that price is perfect for me, but Im afraid I would lose a lot of yield since it says 300 watt?

I dont know... could you guys help me choose a light that isnt so expensive for me? :) something that will perform as good or better than the hps and mh in veg

Unfortunately, cheap and quality don't go hand in hand in the LED world. that light won't replace your 750W HPS, please don't buy it.

Imo led is a major step down in yields. You will end up selling it at a loss and buying a hps. Over 20 years ago I had a 2x4 closet grow with two 400's. Was perfect spread.

led blows cant believe people still invest in it 2k$ lights that might last a month or 2 years
you never used one so how would you know. quality Led's last far longer than any hid. thats why theres 10 year and lifetime warranties. now. where 155 watt panel puts out more par than a 400 w hps. c'mon now hater. Read all the threads in this section. They will all prove you wrong. its more money upfront. because of the longevity of quality leds its far cheaper than hps in the long run

Jesus, what was your cooling setup in that small space?......you can effectively flower with 130w of Hans panels in that area now.......welcome to 2014

Most of us in the led sub section used hid and we disagree.......but thanks for your " informative" post, you can show yourself out right?

Do you think the 2014 XGS-190 LED would be a good choice for 2x4? or would I need like two of them to keep on track with my current 750 watt hps?
that should do it... I know the sgs 160 will match a 400 hps in yield but better quality. 2 xgs 190's should definitely work. I have an sgs 160. But I haven't used it yet. I've been rocking induction. I will be using my a51 in a couple weeks. There's a lot of threads with the sgs with great results. 2 or 3 now that just started with the xgs 190. Check multipass's thread
