oh iiiii've got'n a lovely baggg of coconuttt.

first impressions of this tent is it's seemingly VERY good quality

sweet man get it up!!!! whats going in it?

well i'll say the instructions are SHITE!

you don't put the installation of the odds n sods bag as the final part of the isntallation, when it needs to be the first thing installed, lolll, luckily for me i don't need it, but if i did, i'd be pissed off.

i have to admit though, a tent that doubels as a steel table, well that's nifty

the 300w is going in the tent, and by the looks of it i can have 3/4 large 7L pots in there or say 10 small pots. tight, but hopefully shold be ok.

might just be that i grow fewer larger plants (god i hate the effort of transplanting) or go the other route and go for a good handul of small 1-2 oz plants, although i do like big and beautiful, and less maens less watering and care

with a 300w, and just for vegging, do i really need to bother about 2" from plants etc, or can it just sit at the top of the tent? (smallish tent, big light, mr green or what he's called set's up his veg area and has his lights suspended quite a way from the clones etc~)

well thats a big light so i doubt it but i would still use something adjustable as you don't want your seedlings to stretch in the early stages or youll end up with wobbly plants n having to plant the stem deep in soil etc. better the yo'yo's

haha ive seen mr green too. clones dont need much light at all seedlings a bit more.

cool cool. guess i'll just see how it goes. i normally take the easy route and just upturn a flower pot or stick some books under the pots etc

indeeeeedy, next on my agenda then is getting some beans.

think i'll work on 3 at a time or something to that extent. 3 large girls flowering, then 3 large vegging in large pots, and 3 small ones vegging in small pots. try get get 3 out every month if i can.

3 in 3 up 3 out. every 3 weeks makes life simple. exactly how i started

right, now you mentioned a heated propogator at the same time as peat pellets, i assume that this is for clones you're talking about, i'd have thought that with seeds, i'd just soak the peat for 5 mins, whack the seed in, and hell, i'd assume just stick the peat ontop of your pot of coco, sprinkle a little over the top and you're good to go no?

yeah i generally work on an average 9 week flower but most of the time you can add a week onto that but if your doing the same strain over and over that doesn't really matter. you can get 8 week strains that work nicely on the same schedule.

yeah the heated prop is for clones, if your going from seed you really dont need the prop..

i generally use an old nivea cream plastic tub but anything will do as long as its lightproof next get a piece of paper kitchen towel or toilet roll etc fold it over a couple of times and stuff it into the bottom wet the paper so its damp but not so its swimming pop the seeds on top and then another layer of paper towel. it should soak up the moisture from the bottom piece but if not add a few more drops from the tap.

put the lid on the tub and pop it in a warm place. airing cupboards are good or on the top of your monitor etc just so long as its constant temp. check on it after a couple of days.

now i generally wait until i've got about an inch of tap root out of the seed before i pot it on(straight into coco) but so long as there's white root showing it should take. you can stick it into a jiffy but its not necessary really save em for your clones

i know what i needed to know, and then the principals behind the rest, i read what mu first grow required me to know, then also read around subjects (i was using soil, but it seemed like a good idea for me to know the basics of hydro, in the same way i read how to top, and then read up on LST etc, just for reference, poeple have helped me so i'd like to be able to help back wherever i can, within reason.

i didn't know anything about coco however, so i'd have just ignorantly planted the seeds in the jiffy's, didn't occur to me that i can just treat it as soil

i use a pair of plates to germ seeds, although i've done it just the once, so who knows

trying to work out just how in heck i connect my small diameter hossepipe to my rather alrger diameter watering can spout, or to a bottle. hmmm

plates work just as good as tuppaware.

hey, so just going through that, do you only veg for 3 weeks? for really simple 3 3 and 3 numbers?

something liek that! i also figure that 3 weeks of veg for the plants will be absolutely fine (althou i reckon i'll start "week 1" once it's propperly growing outta the coco) as even though they're small, that'll be 3 plants coming out every 3 weeks, and i doubt i'd be able to smoke a plant a week the one in the cab at present only had a few weeks of veg.

that is pretty much my schedule as of the 16th november, gotta start getting ready, looking at ak48, and barney's LSD first, followed by something lemoney and something mind smash. once its all going i want to try getting something like a 13 week kali mist in there

yeah 3 weeks is ok 4 will give you bigger yields tho. i stopped using schedules like that cos they invariably run over lol. once your rollin youll get a feel for your timings. ( i now use my phones calender as a rough guide and let the trichs do the talkin)

ak48 should be an 8 week finish man and is deffo a head smasher

as you say, it'll overlap, like i won't believe, espeically with how often i leave things for 3 or 4 days before doing it etc

but something like that'll help me keep track of which one is which and which went in when etc. i forget things like that remarkably easy i'll also have to do some colour coding as they all look the same to me

yeah that's where i fall down usually in fact i just took clones of my DQ an labelled them with half cotton wool buds with numbers written on them put them in the prop only to realise that the pen wasn't waterproof. i have 10 clones labelled blue splodge....

take which means i get screwed over. i'm off out to pick up an 8th and kick it while i have a chance, today is my sunday night, sucks eh!

and hahahaha, we all have daft moments like spilling water while you're watering, not caring, then noticing afterwards you were spilling it all over a power strip that has your fans plugged in
