Turkeys in Guerilla Growing Site

So today I made a run to my guerilla growing site. Everything is still ok there are about 12 plants that are still in the sprouting stage. As my friend and I ran into the field near our growing plot, we were surprised to see 6 Turkeys. I didn't know turkeys roamed the area at all. I tried to doing some searching but couldn't find anything - how big of a threat are the Thanksgiving birds? :?

If they are a threat - are there any measures to take against them? (fencing, human hair/urine?)
