I went for it!!! You've heard of supercropping and monstercropping. I call this stupidcropping ::)

1) I am pretty surprised how tall she grew in that little pot.
2) I had to top her to get her to fit.

That plant's the PERFECT length for wot your doing.....did you deliberately grow it like that for this purpose???(no topping applied).....keep us posted on progress I would love to see how it turns out......my only concerns r the space it's using outher than that it looks fun.....

No I just had her sitting in my tent with a mom.. I was interested to see if I could grow a single cola plant, but then she got too tall to be of any use.

Just a thought..

I have a lemon kush that is in a 1/4 gallon pot. She has just been hanging out for a while in veg. She is about two feet tall and single cola. About ten nodes. She's a beauty. I really don't have much use for her at the moment though. I have other cuttings being rooted and she doesn't really fit into the grand plan.

What happens if I put her in a 2 gallon pot then wrap the pot with cloth to keep the soil from falling out. Then I turn her on her side and tie down the top so it doesn't bend towards the light.. Will the side shoots rise up real nice then each produce colas?

How's the Lemon Kush doing?

Lol......look wot you've started sunny.......giving it a go to see how it turns out.....I keep my young ones tight and can't always get the light down where I want it so hopefully this will help......I'm gonna keep turning it so the top doesn't stray to far.......

There is no need to turn the container on its side.
Simply tie the plant over sideways.
This makes the container much easier to water(feed).

I like to use loops of pantyhose to tie my plants, because it stretches nicely, and is plenty strong enough.
I use it indoors and out.

This is a small girl that was the only female of three seeds that I started in a window box planter.
I tied the plant with pantyhose to the stump of a male that I culled.
You can see the pantyhose on the left. The stem of the plant is on the right.

Shit. I was just thinking I would chop her and throw her out, in my neighbors trashcan of course, when my clones are ready, but I don't want to be the pooper at the party :) I'll figure something out.

Yea, the shoots are all beginning to grow taller. She doesn't have a ton of light so maybe in a week I'll find a place to put her into bloom.

I've been looking at vertical scrog setups, as this is sort of a v-scrog turned on it's side. I might have to disassemble one of my hoods and try a 400w v scrog with the clones.

you should have just gradually bent it at the stem... assuming that the plant is in rockwool (like your clones in the background) you may encounter stem rot if you water it too much. i would water AWAY from where the rockwool is and let the roots find the water.

if you bent it then the rockwool would have remained at the top and you could have watered around it.

just search LST low stress training... thats basically what you have done but you just flipped the plant instead

Yea I(we)do lst ....but as I said in my post the nodes r so tight that simple lst would not be ideal(the plant's not even 6"tall with 8sets of nodes and has already been topped)so by turning it on its side I will be able to tease the stems out and if I rotate daily then hopefully I will see a benefit on all 4sides.The soil is firm enuff to stay in the pot and when I water I will simply stand it up.......I will update progress as I go.......

If anyone is still around on this post I finally flipped the lights. I have her under 150 HPS. Seems happy. I'll post a pic as soon as she begins to show flowers.
I'm still here. Been wanting to ask how she's doing but didn't want to be a pest. Lookin forward to the pics.

Alright! Alright already! :) Here she is!
It's not really a good use of space, but I don't really feel like doing a full grow right now. More of an experiment. Just a 150w hanging over her.

One interesting option would be to keep the pots outside of the tent. 3 on each side. Run them through the vents or something similar. Could get really good use of space and coverage.

Thanks for following.

I fim then tie down each cola like a scrog without netting so I can still move plants if needed then you get that same effect happening but with more colas,it works a treat and keeps any strain as low as you like
