A bout once a month i see guys needing help with how to safely power their grow op,some guys are doing dangerous shit, overloading circuits for fear of working with electricity or not running the lights they want to for lack of available power sources.

Is there any intrest in a walk through tutorial with step by step pics on how to install new 15 amp or 20 amp lines to run grow op's from ?,if there is i will start a picture tutorial tomorrow i just want to see if there is any interest before i do it.

Yes panhead, I would love to see a step by step tutorial on that. I think it would help a lot of new growers (like myself) to do things safely. I would really appreciate your knowledge with a step by step guide. Thanks!

Ok,i'll start doccumenting the install of 4 dedicated 15 amp lines tomorrow, along with a simple "power block" that heavy duty extension cords can be safely ran from to operate HID lights.

I'll try to keep the total cost to $50 or less for the whole shot.

Please, please, please!! Can't wait to see it.

I think any electrical tutorials would be welcomed by many here. As for myself, I've zero experience with wiring a grow room (or anything else) and any info in that regard would be greatly appreciated.

ill be running about 7 hundred what out of a power point and i was worried about fire
i made a thread and some guy said to plug a surge protector into teh socket and run eveything out of that

i was wondering if i plugged a double adaptor into the powersocket then run 150 watts out of one point then an ext. cord leading to the 4 way surge protector it would still be safe?

ill be running the rest of the wattage out of that surge protector...

and also... is 700 watts dangerous?

Ha excellent, yes you can do something if you would, when i post my tutorial check it over & make sure that what im reccomending is safe,im sure it is being that ive done it many times over & have wired my homes for decades but it never hurts to have a tradesman who is trade specific look over your work.

Im a dual journeyman card holder ( 2 trades) but im not an electrician so a watchfull eye will be appreciated.

subscribed... wanting to grow in the attic but there is no wiring... a few drop cords running through the attic pulldown stairs would look weird....

I've subscribed. I am hoping to run an outlet to the wall of my garage where I intend to put my grow cab. I was thinking a dedicated 15 amp breaker for this outlet would be a good idea. I've been trying to decide if I can do it myself or if I should hire an electrician.

This thread should help my decision making process!

Thanks!
