two grows under my belt, its time to build two rooms! any advice?

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting but i have been reading and studying for the past six months as I did two smaller trial grows. Ive gotta say, awesome job you guys, rollitup has already increased my yields plenty and is the best forum ive found.

I am helping two friends build their rooms, each one is going to be 4 x 1000w hps and run on hydroponics. We have yet to pick our approach and some of the details so i wanted to get some input.

Both of these grows are on somewhat of a budget, ballasts and some other equipment will be bought used and replaced after harvest 1, the setup until then needs to be cheap!

room 1: 11x8 PLUS 4x8 veg room
I am thinking a 60 plant sea of green in ebb and flow tables, I plan to use air cooled hoods, vented directly out a chimney and venting in through the house. I am thinking of buying an ac unit (like the box ones from sears), so I can controll the temp and humidity easily. the veg room will have a 400w mh. Currently the plan is 4 tables. I am not sure but enclosed with co2 was my other idea for ventilation, does anyone know which would be more expensive to set up ?

room 2: aprox- 25x25x13 tall PLUS 5x5 veg tent
this grow is in a garage so the girls will have a lot of room to grow into monsters. I want to use more space and veg a bit longer, so currently the plan is dwc buckets, I am open to other methods, as well as the number of plants, the only thing really set here is the number of lights. I was thinking of hanging the lights rather than buying hoods.


What do you think? any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

your plan is gonna cost a couple grand. you are gonna need a/c hoods vents,many fans. You have a lot of research to do. And why do people always say they are "helping a friend"?

sorry i was not super specific before, and we have a few more details picked out. Trust me when I say I have done my research, I meant cheap assuming that I still want to make some high performance rooms.

in room 1 we decided to use no hoods, simply to hang the lights and run a large ac unit to cool and controll humidity for the entire room. we are going to grow 8 drip feed tubes with 7 plants each. 2 reservoirs. hydrotons for our medium. I already have a 1000w hps, a 400w mh and enough small fans to circulate the air. I also have a co2 tank and regulator. I have done the research, I am going to spend 350 for the ac, 250 for 3 1000w bulb and ballast combos (used, but they work great), 150 for an ozone generator, and about 200 for all the tubing and pumps for the system.
so yeah, planning to spend about 1000$, should be an awesome room for the price.

in room 2 I am less involved though I am teaching the people how to grow and designing the room. I still do not know how much money i have to spend on it, so it makes it tough but I want to make good use of the room, I am tempted to buy more lights as I found them used for 80$ each and there is a lot more room to work with. What do you guys think? should I do DWC in the garage? any input on room #1?

and the reason I say "helping a friend" is because that is what I am doing. At one spot I am teaching a friend and helping build his room, in the other I am growing my medicine along with a few fellow mmj patient friends, unfortunately my house was not the right spot to do it.
