Two lights one ballast

I read somewhere on here that you can run two lights opposite of each other from the same ballast. Like run one light for 12 hrs then when it switches off the other turns on using the same ballast! It didnt say how and i cant find where i read it. Does anyone know how to do that?

240v ballast. They have 2 outlets, so you can plug 2 lights in. I've read in places that they aren't as strong as running 2 separate 120v ballasts, but it is a cheaper method of running 2 lights.

I have a 120v 400w hps, would i be able to set that up with two lights?

you need a light flipper and its expensive because it runs 6 lights they are about 800 bucks or better. Much easier to just get 2 timers and 2 ballast setups for less money

Voltage has nothing to do with it. It's called a flip-flop and it costs more than another ballast unless you wanna run a bunch of lights.
